Mary
Myers
2815 Kings Crossing #219, Kingwood
Mary Myers, a long-time friend of the Bruner family
purchased a beautiful high rise condominium in the Kings Crossing
Retirement Village This unit is on the top floor and has a beautiful
view. Being a corner unit, it has lots of windows and light. What a
beautiful condo for retirement. Mary is in the IT profession. She
travels extensively and teaches all over the United States. The Myers
family love Kingwood. Enjoy!
Miquer
& Lucia Casas
15301 Glamorgan, Jersey Village
Mr. and Mrs. Casas have located to Jersey Village from
southern Texas to be near their children and grandchildren. From what
I hear, Mrs. Casas loves to cook and the entire family is ready to enjoy
her talents. They purchased the home that belonged to Charles and
Sharon Suessmuth. In fact, the Suessmuths sold this home one time and
lived on the east side of Houston for several years. When they were
ready to return to Jersey Village, they learned that they could
repurchased the home that had left several years previously. Sharon
loved her kitchen and Charles loved his garage and yard. Charles did
not like retirement and he went to work as a Libranian for the City of
Brenham. They found a great home in Brenham to be near Charles’ work and
compliment Sharon’s retirement. Here’s wishing you the very best!
Mandy
Mooney & Mary Ann Hughes
12039 Glenway, Lakewood Forest
Mandy and Mary Ann had sold their home to FEMA. They
were ready to look for a new home. Searching the northwest, we found a
great home that would meet their needs. Mary Ann is a secretary at
Millsap Elementary School and she was excited to be living near her
school. Mandy drives to Kingwood each day, but she doesn’t mind the
drive. Mandy is employed with Sullivan’s Advance Fleet Service. They
will really enjoy the swimming pool next summer. This home needs a
little sprucing up, but are really busy with the “honey-dos and
decorating. The entire family will really enjoy this beautiful large
home for the Christmas holidays. Decorating this home will be lots of
fun!
Doug
& Kathy Jones
7610 Log
View, Woodland Trails North
Doug & Kathy
decided to move to Nebraska to be closer to Kathy's aging parents, and
called me to list their beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home
with a swimming pool in Woodland Trails. This home was such an
adorable home! It had a spacious living room with a wood-burning
fireplace, U-shaped kitchen that opened to the living and breakfast
areas with windows overlooking a large volleyball swimming pool & spa.
The home was located on a quiet dead-end street and had GREAT neighbors.
Doug & Kathy sold their home to Jose & Lupe Gonzalez. These
first-time homebuyers fell in love with this home from the moment they
saw it. Unfortunately, this transaction was a challenge - we
disputed the initial appraisal, the closing date was extended 3 times
before the lender was able to close & fund the loan, and more....
But through it all, the buyer and seller got along splendidly, and
through their patience, we got this deal done! Thank you to both
the Jones & Gonzalez families. I know this was an incredibly
difficult transaction that put all of you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Buying and selling is usually not this hard, and I am sorry that you all
had to experience a series of obstacles, but we were fortunate to be
working with clients like you. It was a truly a pleasure.
Congratulations to Doug & Kathy Jones. Your Houston friends will
miss you dearly. To Jose & Lupe, welcome to Woodland Trails
family. I hope you come to love it there for many years to come.
Carl
Mayfield
10126
Hazelhurst, Royal Oaks
Carl sold the
family home that had once belonged to Kathryn Mayfield. This home
was a real "gem." The family worked very hard cleaning out the
long-owned home. They repainted the interior, installed new carpet
and tile, painted the kitchen cabinets, and dressed up the home with new
hardware & fixtures throughout. The home's transformation was
incredible! It became light and bright, and "welcoming" again.
The home's hardwood floors glistened and windows shined. It became
the "bell of the ball" in this Spring Branch neighborhood as the home
looked like a little cottage sitting on a corner lot, nestled beneath
mature shade trees. The showings were amazing and the offers
rolled in! Paul Park was a first-time homebuyer who loved this
home and its easy access to I-10, the Galleria, & Downtown. It was
perfect home for Paul - ideal size, etc.... The Mayfields were so
happy that this family home was going to such a nice young man who is
just starting out. We hope Paul enjoys this home for many, many
years. Congratulations!
John
Negrete
8007 Bunker Wood, Willowood
Maricris Palomares and her two children decided that they
would like to move to San Antonio and be near her family. They are
really looking forward to being near their grandmother, brothers,
sisters, and cousins. Maricris has been employed by the Klein School
system. She will really miss the children that she has been working
with. John and his family walked into this home and fell in love with
it. They loved the large backyard, covered patio and big storage shed.
They will really enjoy their new home and look forward to meeting their
new neighbors. Enjoy!
Tim
& Mary Krinsky
8309 Achgill, Jersey Village
The Krinsky family, along with their daughters, Michelle
and Chelsea, lost their home to a fire in Rolling Fork during the second
week of September. They will be living temporarily in the home of
Patricia Delaney. Their home, furnishings, and personal items were lost
to fire or water damage. They will be rebuilding the home on Cher Court.
Both Tim and Mary work in the IT industry. The Krinsky family feels
very blessed that they were not injured in the fire.
Joe
& Diana Green
15702 Lakeview Dr., Jersey Village
A couple of years ago, Joe and Diana had purchased a
Jersey Village lot. They built their “dream” home. When we placed the
home on the market last year, it did not sell. Rhonda Coolures, another
long-time resident asked to leased the home. Rhonda leased it until she
was ready to make an out-of-town move. Now, there is a new permanent
neighbor in the neighborhood. She is Kristi Lynn Matthews. Kristi will
love all the great features that Joe and Diana added to the home. The
Greens loved their backyard with their built-in living area with its own
fireplace and a beautiful swimming pool. Summer or winter, this backyard
is any owner’s paradise. Welcome, Kristi.
Kelly
& Lisa Hammock
15326 Welwyn, Jersey Village
As soon as the home that the Davenports’ own was vacated,
they placed it on the market. Another Jersey Village family was in need
of a home. Kelly and Lisa Hammack were searching every day for a home
that would meet their family’s needs. Within a few hours of this home
being on the market, this home was chosen by the Hammock family. They
are the parents of two children. Mom and Dad love Post Elementary
School and wanted their children to continue to go there. They love
having the park a couple of doors from their new home. The children
love having the park in walking distance.
Earl
& Shirley Hild
8302 Wind Willow Drive, Windfern Gardens
Earl and Shirley came to Houston for a visit with their
daughter, Sandra Hild during the month of July. Shirley is originally
from Australia and she loves the hot weather. Earl was in the Navy
during WWII and spent time in Australia. They married and the rest is
history. Earl and Shirley have been married for 66 years. They adore
each other. Moving from the state of Maryland, they are ready to stop
shoveling snow. Instead of snow, they now can live in a little piece of
Texas paradise. They love the sunshine, warm weather and the big
windows in their new home. They have a fantastic view of what should be
beautiful vegetation and landscaping. Well, with the drought, it is a
little dull! Most of all, they will enjoy swimming in their pool and
sitting on their beautiful deck. Now, they are working on their home
and waiting for their furniture and belongings to arrive. Welcome to
Texas!
Sarah
Henry
10936 Chazenwood, Steepleway Terrace
Sarah graduated from A&M a couple of years ago. Sarah
grew up in Jersey Village and wanted to locate a home in the Northwest.
She had a list of items that she wanted in her first home. I think we
were able to tackle the list and fulfill it. The first chore that she
chose to do after she closed was painting. Now, she has customized her
home just the way she wants it. I love the red wall in the kitchen. It
goes well with the beautiful granite and stainless steel appliances.
Sarah loves to cook, bake and hang out with friends. Shadow and May, her
two dogs love their new home. Congratulations!
Jeffrey
& Darla Bedenbaugh
15307 Ochre Leaf Trail, Fairfield Village
Jeff and Darla looked at a number of homes and decided
that they really liked Fairfield. They have so many friends that each
neighborhood we went into, they always started naming people they knew
in the neighborhood. They found a great home with the perfect floor
plan for them. Darla will love the open kitchen which means that she
can communicate with the family in the den. Jeff will have a fine
office to work in at home. Natalie and Jackson made their selections of
their bedrooms. Best of all, they have a big game room. Natalie will
be a sixth grader at Salyards. Jackson will be a fourth grader at Keith
Elementary School. Jeff is employed with RR Donnelley. Darla is busy
with unpacking boxes and decorating her home.
Tom
& Linda Greuter
16322 Saint Helier, Jersey Village
Tom and Linda moved into their home on August 1, 1985.
They had two children when they moved in. Ryan was 7 and Amanda turned 4
on the day they moved in. Collin completed the family when he was
born. Ryan married his wife, Kensley, nine years ago. Both Ryan and
Kensley graduated from A&M. Ryan is a chemical engineer, works for
Samsung in Austin where he and his family reside. Amanda graduated from
A&M and UTMB at Galveston. Presently, she lives in Dallas. She is a
Pediatric Emergency Room Physician at Dallas Childrens’ Hospital in
Dallas. Collin graduated from Mid-American Christian University
where he played baseball and earned all conference. Now, he is
attending Lone Star College and looking forward to becoming a
firefighter. Presently, Linda and Tom moved into a home that would
accommodate Linda’s aging mother. Tom is a manager of Jos A. Banks
clothing store for men. This family has wonderful memories of the long
residency in Jersey Village. The new purchaser is Ginger Elizabeth
Bing. She is excited with her new home. She will be busy decorating it
and meeting new neighbors.
Guy
Grossman, Chris and Clayton
1113 Loeser, Spring Valley
The Grossman family has lived in two homes in Jersey
Village during the last two decades. Having sold their present home,
the family had to make some changes. Guy and his sons, Christopher and
Clayton have relocated into Spring Branch. Guy found a great home that
will work for him and the boys. Clayton, a fifth grader, will go to
Valley Oaks elementary School which is the same elementary school as his
father attended. Isn’t that neat! Christopher is returning to A & M
(same college as Dad) for the fall semester. The two grown daughters,
Amanda and Ginger are busy with their adult lives. Ginger and a friend
are taking a sabbatical and touring the Eastern states. They love
Boston. Amanda and her husband are expecting their new baby. This is
the first grandbaby for the Grossman family. Everyone is very
excited.
Amanda
Muske
15810
Singapore, Jersey Village
Amanda
has been looking for the ideal home in Jersey Village for a long time.
She had specific things she was searching for, but wanted a solid home
that could fit comfortably within her budget. She invested wisely
when it came to her first JV home. Selecting 15810 Singapore was a
good choice. It had 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with a 2 car detached
garage. The home has a large swimming pool in the back, and a full
back yard behind the pool for the kids and dog to play. Now Kaylee
and her grandmother, Judy Muske, who attend weekly water aerobics
together, can exercise and swim all year 'round. It is also in a
great location as it is within walking distance of Jersey Village High
School. Congratulations on new beginnings, Amanda! May
this new chapter in your life be everything you've been hoping for and
so much more.
Colleen
Hein
6211
Ludington, Fondren SW Tempo Condos
Colleen
is a teacher's assistant who wanted to move into the Meyerland area to
be close to her daughter and three grandsons. Colleen also wanted
to purchase a home that she could easily maintain once she retires from
teaching - in a few years. She found a townhome in Fondren SW
Tempo with one bedroom and bath downstairs, and one bedroom, a small
loft (for a study), and bath upstairs. The condo included a
refrigerator and stackable washer & dryer as well. She also liked
the fact that the complex was a gated for security and had a swimming
pool for her to take her grandsons to during the summer. The home
seemed to be the perfect match. Colleen, I hope you enjoy your new
home and living close to your daughter & the boys. Congratulations
on your new home!
John &
Mandy Donovan
18207 Spruce
Creek, Deerfield Village
John & Mandy relocated to Calgary about 4 years ago, but
continued to travel back and forth to the US to visit their children.
Matthew, their youngest son, recently moved into his first condo in the
Galleria area, only minutes from his work. Once Matthew moved out,
John & Mandy put their Deerfield Village home on the market. Their
home on Spruce Creek was unique, even for Deerfield Village, as it was a
larger custom-built home for the neighborhood being 4,033sqft. It
was truly a spacious home with 4 HUGE bedrooms, lots of closets &
storage spaces, downstairs study, gameroom, swimming pool with diving
board, located at the end of a cul-de-sac right off Deerfield Village's
greenbelt & walking trail. This was a REMARKABLE property!
John & Mandy sold their lovely home to another Deerfield Village
resident, Bob & Marilyn Pulliam. Bob & Marilyn had been leasing a
home in the neighborhood. They wanted to stay in Deerfield as it
had become "home" for them, when they discovered this home on Spruce
Creek. It was more home than they needed, but they loved that the
home was "move in ready." They could appreciate all of the
upgrades the Donovans had put into the home -
Takis
Bogdanos
4703 Newpark,
Westbranch
Takis
purchased the home on Newpark last year, so we both knew it would be a
challenge to sell the home since it had little or no equity. This
was a lovely home in Spring Branch - ideal for commuters as it is
located across from the Clay Rd YMCA with easy access to Beltway 8.
The home's kitchen had been recently remodeled with granite and
stainless steel appliances. The downstairs master had a remodeled
bath with a garden tub & walk-in closet. Home's living room had a
vaulted ceiling and fireplace, and the upstairs gameroom had a 2nd
fireplace - which I found unique for the area and price range.
Takis sold the home to a sweet couple, Humberto Mundo & Silvia Vargas.
They were excited about moving out of an apartment and purchasing their
first home. Congratulations Takis! It was a pleasure working
with you and Jackie. Welcome to the Westbranch community, Humberto
& Silvia. May you enjoy your home for many years to come.
Kelly
Anthony
18207
Crestwell Ct., Windsong
I helped
Kelly find a lease home in the Bear Creek area about 4 years ago, and
was honored when she called me to help her buy her FIRST home. We
looked at LOTS of homes but finally settled on a Pulte home in Windsong.
It was a 1 story home on a quiet cul-de-sac with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
It was the perfect size and layout for Kelly. It also has a nice
size yard and covered patio for the two dogs to enjoy. The home is
also an easy commute for Kelly as well, and close to her sister who
lives in Bear Creek. Kelly was REMARKABLE to work with as she navigated
the house-hunting and loan process for the first time. Even her
lender commented on how wonderful she was to work with and how quickly
she got back with them to keep the loan process running smoothly.
Kelly, I hope that the home is everything that you dream it will be.
May you fill it with a million beautiful memories as you start this new
chapter in your life.
Carlos
Guzman
1603 Cedar,
Long Woods
It was a
challenge to find the right home for Carlos, but the home at 1603 Cedar
was everything he was looking for, and perhaps even more. We
started initially looking at homes on the north and south sides of I-10,
but moved our way south, and settled on a home in Richmond. This
is a fantastic home nestled beneath a canopy of mature shade trees.
The home has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 baths, downstairs study, formal
living & dining, den with fireplace, sunroom, and 3 car detached garage.
Carlos & Judy are excited about their new Richmond home. Judy has
plans of updating and remodeling as she has beautifully done with her
other homes. One of the nice bonuses with this home is that it is
spacious enough for Carlos' brother to move in as well, filling this
house with family & lots brotherly love. Congratulations Carlos!
I know that all of you will create wonderful memories in your new home.
(On a side note, Carlos works for the service department at Jeff Haas
Mazda. Personally, I have never been more impressed with the
service I've received than with Jeff Haas. If you are considering
purchasing a Mazda, I would encourage you to check them out. Their
service & follow up have made owning my Mazda a pleasure.)
Jim &
Brandi Leach
21110 Golden
Sycamore, Fairfield
I have
known Jim & Brandi for quite a while as I've helped both Brandi's
parents (Tim & Ginger Biernacki) and brother & sister-in-law (Blake &
Andrea Biernacki) purchase their homes. I am truly honored to be
considered the Biernacki family realtor. Jim & Brandi have been
wanting to move out to Fairfield for a long time. So when the home
at 21110 Golden Sycamore came on the market, we thought it may be too
good to be true. It was everything they had been looking for at an
excellent price. It was a 1.5 story home with 4 bedrooms on the
1st floor with a gameroom on the 2nd. It was an ideal floorplan
and perfect location for the Leach family. The home not only
allowed the kids to have their own gameroom upstairs (away from mom and
dad), but also allowed the kids to attend the schools Jim & Brandi
desired as well. Jim works for the appraisal district and Brandi
is a school teacher, and they are both extremely happy with their new
home even though their commute is a little longer. The kids are
enjoying their new schools as well, and are making lots of friends.
Welcome to the Fairfield family, Jim & Brandi. I know you've
worked hard to make this move happen, and I truly wish you all the very,
very best. Congratulations!
Jon &
Melanie Wright
10838 White
Oak Point, White Oak Springs
Todd &
Marcie Fokken asked for me to sell their home in White Oak Springs after
they purchased a lot and built their own home this year. The home
on White Oak Point was a delight to sell because it had been well-loved
and cared for. Todd & Marcie who own Efficiency Experts AC Company
(281-807-7100), had really done some incredible upgrades to their 4
bedroom, 2.5 bath home. Not only had they built-on a 20x15 covered
patio & wired it with speakers (ideal for entertaining), installed a
sprinkler system, but had "tweaked" the AC system throughout the home as
well. This was the first home I had seen that had a zoned AC
system quite like this. The single AC unit was zoned for upstairs
and down - not uncommon - but the bedrooms upstairs had individual
thermostats in them so each occupant could stay as cool or warm as
desired. Jon & Melanie Wright have friends (& work colleagues) who
live down the street who insisted that they take a look at this home.
Jon & Melanie fell in love with the home and truly could appreciate all
that Todd & Marcie put into it. Jon & Melanie are an INCREDIBLE
young couple starting their lives together - Jon is a police officer and
Melanie is a registered nurse. After closing, Melanie was anxious
to start decorating their new home, shopping and buying furniture for
the first time. I imagine as the holidays are approaching, Melanie
is eager to decorate their "first home" and celebrate the holidays with
family & friends. Congratulations Jon & Melanie! I hope you
enjoy your home for many years to come.
Cindy
Ricci
3632 Canton
Hills, Riverstone
Dorothy Montgomery referred her
dear friend and fellow Bechtel colleague, Cindy Ricci, to me when she
discovered Cindy was relocating to Houston. Cindy was an absolute
delight! Initially she was looking for new construction in the
Galleria so that she could be close to work. But she just could
not find the "right" home, and wanted it to be perfect as she intends to
stay and retire here in Houston. We ended up looking at David
Weekley Homes in the Riverstone subdivision in Missouri City - only
minutes from the Galleria with the Ft. Bend Tollroad. It was the
ideal floorplan for Cindy with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a dining she could
use as a study, island kitchen, and large open living area. The
home also had a covered patio and easy to maintain backyard (already
sodded with a full sprinkler system front & back). The builder
Ricky Martinez did a FANTASTIC job. When Cindy had the home
inspected, the inspector commented that this was one of the "cleanest"
and well-built homes he had seen in a long time. Ricky took the
time with Cindy to acclimate her to her new home and address any and all
of her concerns, even after closing. Congratulations Cindy!
Welcome to the Riverstone community.
Juan &
Michelle Galvan
10626 Solera,
Woodland Trails
Felipe & Lesha Ranjel referred me
to Juan & Michelle Galvan a couple of years ago. Juan & Michelle
were a lovely couple with a unique situation. They had married one
another, each with 3 children - it was like the Brady Bunch but with 4
boys and 2 girls. Overnight their family doubled in size and they
needed a larger home. It was certainly a challenge to find a home
large enough to accommodate this new family. It was also important
to Michelle to try to keep the kids in the same schools with their same
friends, if at all possible. So, we discovered Pride Builders who
were able to built the Galvans a 5 bedroom, 3 bath home on a cul-de-sac
lot in Woodland Trails (off Fairbanks N Houston @ Breen), where the kids
could all stay in their same schools. Juan & Michelle also
selected a fantastic lot for their new home. It has a HUGE
backyard which will be ideal for installing a swimming pool for the kids
at a later date. This is a great home at a fantastic value for
this stage of their lives. Of course, once all of the kids are gone, I
image Juan & Michelle will retreat into a little house in the country
somewhere. But for now, congratulations on your new home, Juan &
Michelle! I imagine it will be filled with noise, chaos, and LOTS
of love for years and years to come. May it also be filled with
countless priceless memories. I truly wish all of you the very
best!!!
Estate
of Samuel E. Hooper
12807
Butterfly, Memorial Bend
Jeff &
Bryan Hooper asked for me to sell their family home after their father
Sam passed away. The home was a beautiful mid-century modern that
had had only 2 owners. The original home was built in 1957 and had
been added on and remodeled making it close to 3000sqft. This home
had "character." The home's floorplan flowed well (not choppy like
so many homes that are added on to), with tall windows, great angled
ceilings, and hardwood & Saltillo tile floors. There was LOTS of
interest in the home as it had 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, HUGE closets &
storage space throughout, located in Memorial where students attended
acclaimed Memorial HS, Memorial MS, and Rummel Creek Elementary.
The Hoopers ended up selling their family home to Jose & Mary Dominguez.
They truly FELL IN LOVE with the home! They were a young couple
just starting out with 2 boys as well. A wonderful bonus is Mary's
parents live only a few doors down on the same street, so now mother &
daughter can have coffee together each morning and the boys will grow up
knowing their grandparents on a daily basis. The street is filled
with young families with children, and so the boys will have lots of
other children to play with. The Hoopers are truly a REMARKABLE
family who sold this treasured home to another remarkable family who
will fill it with as much love as Sam did. My thanks goes out to Lois
Lewis of Estate Sales by Lois who was in charge of planning, organizing,
and selling the personal items for the Hoopers. Lois did an
OUTSTANDING job! If anyone ever needs assistance with an estate
sale, please give Estate Sales by Lois a call 832-217-5447. She
will not disappoint you!
Pat
Russell
801 River Rd
#111-D, Lake Pointe on Lake Conroe
Several
years ago, I helped Frank & Pat Russell purchase their vacation condo on
Lake Conroe. Frank and I looked for the perfect unit on the DEEP
water of Lake Conroe - Frank had very specific qualification he was
looking for in a vacation home. After much research, we found the
perfect complex at Lake Pointe on Lake Conroe - the only condominium
complex in Walden that allows you to keep a boat onsite instead of at
the marina. When there were no one-level units for sale, I wrote
letters to the entire complex seeing if anyone was interested in
selling. Frank & Pat had 3 units to chose from. They
purchased a fantastic condo - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, looking at the deep
water of Lake Conroe. It also came with 3 boat slips. Frank
& Pat updated the unit nicely. This became "Frank's place" - his weekend
retreat. It was the perfect place! When Frank passed away
this year, Pat decided to sell the unit. Thomas & Beth Belter,
another retired couple, purchased the condo with the same intentions as
Frank & Pat - to be their weekend retirement "retreat." Best
wishes to Tom & Beth. I hope you enjoy your vacation condo as much
as the Russells.
Michael
& Penny Tapp
12103 Shorelands Road,
Bridgeland
Michael and Penny found the perfect home for themselves
at this timeof their life. They are now the proud owners of a
large one-level home on a corner lot in Bridgeland. Most of all,
Penny has a blank canvas to decorate. Michael will enjoy a smaller
yard. There is a nice playground for the grandchildren nearby.
Michael is a Real Estate attorney and his office is located at 12611
Jones Road. The Tapp family has been longtime villagers and will
be missed. Here wishing you years of happiness in your new
neighborhood.
Fabian
Mendez
16544 Village Dr, Jersey Village
Fabian’s family moved into Jersey Village on the day that
Allison came in June, 2001 . Fabian’s mother reminded me at
closing, that we had closed their home about 3pm on that afternoon.
Ten years later, Fabian is a professional young man and decided to
relocate to his “old stomping grounds”. He visited the
townhome that belonged to Terri Walker. Terri had lived there a
number of years. During that time, she remodeled several of the
rooms. Terri is locating to Austin where she will be continuing to work
in the IT business. The town home is beautiful and I am sure that Fabian
fell in love with it when he saw it. We welcome you back to
Jersey Village, Fabian. Terri , here is wishing you and your
family the very best with your move to Austin.
Sus
Bustion
16324 Lewis Street, Jersey Village
Mrs. Willie Stanley has lived in the Village for over
three decades. She reared her three children in this small town and
loved it. She and her husband built a perfect home for their
retirement onr a beautiful corner lot. Her daughter, Kay and her
husband, Terry are locating to Round Rock for Terry’s employment.
Kay and Terry invited Willie to move with them. They have selected
a multi-generation home to purchase. They are looking
forward to their next chapter in life. This should really be an
experience for Willie since she has lived in the same place for so many
years. The new owner will be Sue Bustion. She is relocating
to Jersey Village from Arkansas. She has family that lives close
by and is looking forward to enjoying them. Welcome, Mrs. Bustion.
Stacey
& Margaret Batterson
16110 Capri Lane, Jersey Village
Michael and Penny decided that it was time to sell the
home that they had lived in for over 20 years. Both of the
daughters have married and now have their own homes and families.
Penny loves to decorate and her home had a flare that demonstrated her
talents. Shortly after we placed their home on the market a young
couple, Stacey and Margaret Batterson decided that they wanted to shop
for a home in Jersey Village. They looked at this beautiful home
and fell in love with it. They will really enjoy this special home
and well-landscaped back yard with a beautiful swimming pool. They have
relocated from an area closer to downtown. The neighbors on Capri
are looking forward to welcoming the Batterson family into the
neighborhood.
Stephen
& Krystal Prihoda
16322 Koester, Jersey Village
Stephen and Krystal are moving in to be the closer to the
city and employment. They are looking forward to having a shorter drive
time to work. They will really enjoy this beautiful home with the
updates that have been done in the kitchen and bathrooms. The
large patio is great for family gatherings and barbeques. Their
three year old will enjoy that big back yard for play-time. I am
sure that they will be looking for playmates. This is the
third time that Judy Bruner has sold this home in the last 25 years.
The Prihodas purchased the home that belonged to Harry and Lois
Brinkman.
Jeff &
Angie Gruber
2002
Stillwater, Eagle Lakes (Friendswood)
First of all, please let me
thank Galen & Susan Cotton for referring such a wonderful family to me.
It was a pleasure working with them. Jeff & Angie Gruber love
living in Friendswood but had outgrown their home of 12 years.
They had moved into their home before they had children, and after 2
boys they needed a little more space. So they had a home built in
Friendswood so their boys could stay in the same schools and be with
their same friends. The Gruber's home at 2002 Stillwater was truly
a lovely home with a swimming pool and 3 car garage that backed up to a
greenbelt area where the neighborhood children would gather & play.
Jeff & Angie were part of a remarkable neighborhood...a community of
families. They sold their "first home" to a delightful young
family just starting out - Jamie & Amy Pardo. I think when Jeff &
Angie met their new buyers, they could see themselves in their eyes.
Jamie & Amy were a young couple with one young child who had fallen in
love with this home. It was everything they could have wanted for
their new family, and more. It is always difficult for an owner to
sell their cherished home, where they have had their children, filling
rooms with love & so many memories. But I believe the Pardos are
the perfect match - as they will continue filling this home with love.
Congratulations Jeff & Angie. You were a remarkable couple to work
with and I wish you the very best in your new home.
Karl &
Karen Pohle

Crawford, Jersey Village
When Karl & Karen saw the
Deakin's home at 16317 Crawford posted on MLS, they just had to take a
look. They had been wanting to stay in Jersey Village, but had
been searching for a 1 story home with at least the same amenities of
their home on De Lozier. The Deakins home was a perfect match!
16317 Crawford has 4 or 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, an oversized 3 car
garage, and a swimming pool. What a find, and an ideal match for
this family! Now, Adam & Barbara (Karl's mother) enjoy swimming
each day as well as sitting beneath the large covered patio they've
created into a outdoor living space. Adam has a gameroom to enjoy
with his friends. Karen & Barbara now have their own
study/computer area. Richard & Kathye Deakins purchased this tiny
home in 1994 and rebuilt it, remodeling it into a true "one-of-a-kind
showcase home." They raised their children in Jersey Village, but enjoy
traveling overseas and visiting their now grown children. They
absolutely loved living in JV through the years and relished the
friendships they'd made. They decided to have a custom home built
in Magnolia. Congratulations on this new chapter in both the
Deakin's & Pohle's lives. Wishing all of you the very best!!!!
David &
Renee Habegger
6507 Oak
Masters, Spring Creek Forest
Once
David & Renee Habegger married,
these newlyweds needed to find a home of their own as they were combing
two households into one. They found the ideal home in Spring Creek
Forest. This home was everything they had been looking for with a
large open kitchen, spacious living room, with 3 bedrooms. David
also wanted to find a home closer to I-45 to be closer to his work.
The home on Oak Masters was perfect and offered so much more than what
David & Renee had been thought they could find - the home was nestled
beneath shade trees, and had lush gardens filled with fruit bearing
trees & bushes. The former owner, Debra Takacs, and Renee shared a
common interest of gardening. When Renee saw the vegetable garden
filled with tomato plants, she felt like she had finally come "home."
Debra loved living in Spring Creek Forest, but had retired from teaching
this May. She had purchased an RV, consolidate her household, to
begin her first summer of retirement traveling the country.
Welcome to the Spring Creek Forest, David & Renee. Hope you enjoy
this home together for many years to come.
Casey
Ferrell
12518
Saracen, Ravensway
Casey Ferrell wanted to purchase his first home. He
has several family members that live in the Ravensway area. He
purchased the home that belong to Marc and Gayle Bellomy. Marc and
Gayle had reared their boys in this home. After the boys went off
to college, they decided that they would move to Jersey Village.
Gayle tells me that she knows that she is the customer that I have
worked with the longest. She says she has been working with me for
eleven years to find a home. If that is correct, Marc and Gayle
are lovely and it doesn’t seem that long. Casey loves his new home.
I think his brother and father are looking forward to having those
barbeques in Casey’s backyard. Everybody wants to enjoy the
swimming pool. Both were eager to help Casey get moved in.
Steve
Tabibian
603
Brittmoore, Memorial Plaza
Steve had purchased this home at the corner of Memorial &
Brittmoore as an investment property in 2007. Homes in Memorial
Plaza are good investments and normally sell quite well. Steve
remodeled the kitchen and updated the home's paint & flooring
throughout. This was a unique split floorplan home with the steps
up to the front door leading to the main floor. The main floor had
the living room, dining room, kitchen & breakfast. One staircase
led to all of the upstairs bedrooms. One short set of stairs led
to a downstairs gameroom overlooking the lush tree-filled backyard.
Shortly after Steve's purchase, the market took a downhill turn and it
became extremely "challenging" to sell the home, especially one with
such a unique floorplan. Fortunately, Rick & Chelsie Ramos fell in
love with this home. This lovely young couple have 2 little girls
who can now walk to Rummel Creek Elementary. A nicer couple could
not have purchased this home. Congratulations Rick & Chelsie on
your new home and welcome to the Memorial Plaza community.
Damian &
Kelly Strome
911
Arlington, Houston Heights
I met Damian & Kelly at an open
house in Memorial. When they decided to put their home on the
market for sale in the Heights, I was pleased that they gave me a call.
Damian had purchased the home at 911 Arlington before he and Kelly
married. With the news of a baby on the way, Damian & Kelly
suddenly needed a larger home. 911 Arlington was one of the most
charming homes I have ever had on the market. It was built in 1921
and had 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths - a rare find in the Heights.
The home had been immaculately kept through the years. On the day
of the open house, I had the largest turnout I had ever had at an open
house with over 40 families coming through the home in a matter of 2
hours. I also had 3 offers on the home by the end of the weekend.
Damian & Kelly accepted an offer from Kelda McFee. She works in
the oil & gas industry (like Damian), traveling often, but was starting
her new married life with a new home at 911 Arlington.
Congratulations to Kelda McFee on starting your new married life like
the Stromes did not so long ago.
Harry &
Lois Brinkman
15717
Sierra, Jersey Village
Mike and Judy Doherty decided to sell their lovely
custom-design and custom-built home by Mike Doherty, the builder/owner.
They built some homes for other Jersey Village residents
and decided that they would like to live in the Village also. They
selected a corner lot and built a magnificent one-level home. It
had a Hill Country feel, but at the same time, it felt like a dressy
Tuscan style. With the open houses that we had, we had very
favorable comments. Some clients (Harry and Lois Brinkman)
who I had sold two homes in Jersey Village previously, return from an
overseas employment. As soon as they returned, they call to say
there were ready to purchase a larger home in the Village. When
they looked at this home, they knew immediately it was perfect for them.
Mike, with Doherty Homes , did several updates to customize this home
for Harry and Lois. Harry and Lois love their new home and can’t
wait to empty all those boxes. This is a special home for some long-time
Jersey Village residents that we are glad to have return to Jersey
Village. Mike and Judy Doherty, the owners of Mike Doherty Homes
continue to build fine custom homes. They can be reached at 281
850-9247. Their website is
www.mkedohertyhomes.com.
Charles
& Amy Truan
16113 Wall Street, Jersey Village
Charles and Amy are relocating to Houston from San
Antonio. They selected a home in Jersey Village that had been totally
renovated and the home was waiting for them! Charles is moving
back home where he grew up. He graduated from Jersey Village High
School. Charles is in sales and has flexibility where he lives.
They are the parents of three small children. Most of all, they
are excited to be living near family and grandparents. Charles’
father is the Rev. Renee Truan, one of the associate ministers at
Foundry United Methodist Church on Jones Road. This listing holds a
special place in my heart. Carolyn, the daughter of Peggy McShan
called to ask if I would market her mother’s estate. Her mother,
Peggy McShan had worked in our office in the 1980’s. She was a
beautiful lady. Welcome home, Charles and Amy.
Corinna
Sadler
5803 Bryant Pond, Corcord Bridge
Corinna, with her thirteen year old son and her mother
have purchased the home that belonged to David and Renee Habegger.
Corinna is in the commercial real estate business. She and her
entire family fell in love with this home. David, the Seller is
another Jersey Village Falcon graduate. David had updated this
home (inside and outside). Corinna was very fortunate that she
found a home that has been so very well cared for. She is looking
forward to learning how to take of the beautiful yard that David had
groomed for her. After David and Renee married and put two
households together, they decided that they needed a larger home.
Since David is an Exxon employee, they wanted to locate to the spring
area to be closer to his work. The entire Sadler family is looking
forward to all the sports activities. They will really enjoy the
park and walking trail near their new home.
Jon
Murray
9743
Knights, Steeplechase
Jon had decided that he needed to have more to do.
Jon loves to get his hands dirty and have projects. I assume that
he has probably redone everything in his own house and now it is time to
find another house to work on. Jon found this home that needed
lots and lots of work. He has been busy with the renovations.
He is happy and loves to make a house into a home. Jon owns a
commercial building business and built his family a couple of beautiful
homes in Jersey Village. Jon is the father of three Jersey Village
Falcons.
Neil
Harrison
2834 Crest
Park, Park Hollow
First of all, please let me
thank Mark Oreta for referring such a wonderful client to me. It
was a pleasure working with Neil - I had a blast talking with him and
learned so much. Neil works for Clear Channel and he wanted to
live relatively close to work. We looked at several homes in the
area, but did not find the "right one" until we came across Kalamu &
Jatoi Johnson's home at 2834 Crest Park. It was a well-loved 1.5
story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large covered patio, and upstairs
gameroom or study with a "Texas basement" - a.k.a. a HUGE storage closet
or converted attic space with air conditioning. The Johnson's home
was truly lovely, but they had just had a baby and needed more space for
their 2 children. Kalamu & Jatoi decided to purchase a new
construction home in the Katy area. Neil loved Jatoi's style and
color choices throughout the home, especially the kitchen area. It
was an ideal match! Congratulations Neil on your new home! I
truly hope you love it for many, many years to come.
Damian &
Kelly Strome
15731
Foxgate, Fleetwood
When Damian & Kelly discovered
they were expecting their first baby, and Damian's job with Exxon was
relocating him to the Memorial office, we started looking at homes in
the Memorial & Briar Forest area. They needed more space than their 2
bedroom, 2 bath home in the Heights would provide, and Damian very much
wanted to live inside Hwy 6 and be close to home with the new baby on
the way. We found the ideal home for the Stromes. It was a
large house in Fleetwood with 4 spacious bedrooms, all upstairs, so that
they could be close to the new baby. The downstairs had room for a
study for Damian as well as a playroom for the baby. The previous
owner, Tom Lacolmbe, had been transferred to San Antonio with only 2
weeks notice, and he needed to sell and liked the idea of selling the
home to this young couple starting their family together. Damian &
Kelly purchased this home in pretigous Fleetwood only 2 weeks before
baby Harrison arrived. Originally Kelly was due the first week in
June, but I guess Harrison was eager to move into his new house too.
Congratulations Damian & Kelly on your first "family" home together.
May you fill the home with a million beautiful memories.
Rajbir &
Daljit Sra
15422 Chichester, Jersey Village
John and LaVera Tamburello purchased this lot several
years ago with the thought of building a home on it. They love
their present home and where they live, thus they decided to sell the
lot. Another family was searching for a lot to build a home and
found this one. It is just perfect for Rajbir and Daljit Sra.
Being empty nesters, it is time to have a different style home.
They are looking forward to building just the “perfect retirement” home
for themselves. I sure that the all the neighbors on this street
will look forward to a new home on the block. With all the new
construction in this area, hopefully all the lots will have homes on
them in the near future.
2010
Adam &
Jackie Grimm
12807
Crestwind Dr., Shadow Creek Ranch (Pearland, TX)
Congratulations to Adam &
Jackie Grimm! We thought that we would be closing their new home at
12807 Crestwind in Shadow Creek Ranch (Pearland) in January, but thanks
to the Kyles Team at Secure Mortgage, LSI Title, and the seller
(foreclosure) everyone worked endlessly to close on this young couple's
FIRST home before the end of the year - 12/30/10! The Grimms purchased a
WONDERFUL 4 bedroom, 2 bath home, 2455sqft, built in 2005. Adam &
Jackie were able to get A LOT of home for a really FANTASTIC VALUE with
interest rates being so low. So Adam & Jackie not only got into
their "dream home" in 2011, but are expecting their FIRST baby in March.
They just found out...It's a boy! Congratulations! What a wonderful
beginning to a new year full of lots of joy & surprises. Now you can
begin decorating the nursery and putting together baby furniture. 2011
looks like it is going to be an exciting year for Adam & Jackie. Wishing
you the very best in this new year.
Maxie &
Cindy Rodriguez
16001
Singapore, Jersey Village
Congratulations Maxie &
Cindy! We closed on their home at 16001 Singapore in Jersey Village on
December 15th. Maxie retired on his birthday this year, and Cindy will
be retiring in 2011. They will be returning home to Louisiana to be near
family. They lived in their home in JV for the past 12 years. It was a
beautiful home
that had been nicely redone - kitchen completely remodeled with new
cabinetry, appliances, & granite. It had the master down with 4 bedrooms
up - and the LARGEST closets I have seen in a home in JV in my 10 years
of selling real estate. They sold their home to a young lady, Nicole
Garber, who is getting married in 2011. John, of course, loves the 3 car
garage and swimming pool. All of her family live outside of Texas, so
this big home will come in handy with the couple's families come to
visit or they start having a family of their own. Congratulations Maxie
& Cindy on your retirements and this new chapter in both of your lives.
You've sold your home to a lovely couple who are just beginning their
married lives together and will love your home as much as you have. Best
wishes to all.
Chris &
Kayla Towle
16206 Congo,
Jersey Village
Congratulations Chris &
Kayla! We closed on their home at 16206 Congo in Jersey Village on
November 10th. Chris & Kayla had beautifully remodeled their home with
wood floors, granite in the baths, etc... It was one of my finest
listings in Jersey Village!
It was truly a GORGEOUS home! All 4 bedrooms upstairs, surround sound in
living room, tiled walk-in shower in the master bathroom, etc...
The attention to every detail was incredible! And Chris had
designed a workshop in 2 bays of his 4 car garage that any woodworker
would envy. He had a vacuum system, piped for an air compression system,
etc... That was THE selling point for the buyer, Jason Kiniry, who fell
IN LOVE with Chris' extensive workshop & swimming pool. According to his
agent, Jason spent more time in the garage than in the house when she
showed it to him. Congratulations Chris & Kayla. You sold your home in
JV to someone who will love and appreciate it as much as you did. Best
wishes to everyone!
Mark
& Gayle Bellomy – 281 894-4818
8101 Rio Grande, Jersey Village
Mark and Gayle had been wanting to move to Jersey Village for years.
They have been watching and waiting for the perfect home. On the
weekend that we had all of our listings open (Bruner Team's Jersey
Village Showcase of Homes), they looked at each home. They found the
perfect home for their family. They had lived in Ravensway for
twenty-two years. Now, they are really looking forward to living
near their church, Jersey Village Baptist and their many friends.
Being a social couple, they are really looking forward meeting their
neighbors and making more friends. Gayle is already busy with her plans
for her home. Mark has been a long-time employee of Bechtel. They
have lived outside the United States in other countries during this
time. Mark and Gayle are the proud parents of two grown sons. Luke
is an aspiring writer and Ben will be graduating from Law School
this year. Welcome Bellomy Family!
Susan
Eppes
8101 Rio Grande,
Jersey Village
Susan and Ed lived in their home
for 22 years, and raised their 2 beautiful girls, Amanda & Emily.
After Ed passed away, Susan decided to retire from Cy-Fair ISD - many of
you may remember Susan as the switchboard operator for Cy-Fair or
working at Post Elementary several years ago. When Susan retired,
she moved to the sunny state of Florida. She discovered that she
LOVES living in Florida - the sun, the beaches, the great food, etc...
For a couple of years, she traveled back & forth to Texas, but then
decided to stay in Florida. She put her home on the market.
It was a lovely contemporary home with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a
detached 2 car garage on almost 1/3 acre. The home had been
updated with double paned windows & was very energy efficient.
Marc & Gayle Bellomy saw the home and knew it was the right home for
them. They saw it for the 2nd time during one of our Jersey
Village Showcase of Homes, and decided to write an offer then & there.
It was the perfect fit! When I told them that the home belonged to
Susan Eppes, Gayle was ecstatic! She knew Susan from when their
boys went to Post Elementary. She loved the idea of buying Susan's
home. It is indeed a small world. Congratulations to Susan,
Marc & Gayle! Congratulations on this next chapter in each of your
lives.
Erick
Bonilla & Katerine Agudello
19702 Kendall
Lake, Lakemont
Congratulations to Erick Bonilla & Katerine Agudelo! I've known Erick
for years - he originally worked with Frank Santopolo & the guys at
Star-Motors. He & Katerine are a delightful couple who are getting
married later this year. They closed on their NEW Lennar Home in
Lakemont subdivision. They got a FANTASTIC price on their new 2881sqft
home with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2 car garage. It was an inventory home.
It was a SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL home and so much more
home than they could have hoped for. With interest rates being so low,
they could afford so much more home right now than they could have last
year. Lennar closed in less than 30 days and their in-house lender
did a GREAT job with Erick & Katerine's loan. Even with a few hurdles to
overcome, Erick & Katerine could not have asked for a smoother
transaction due to Lennar's due diligence. Congratulations Erick &
Katerine! May you enjoy your new home for many years to come and fill it
with a million beautiful memories.
Scott
& Elsa Switzer
15315 Mauna Loa, Jersey Village
Scott and Elsa had been wanting to purchase this home for
a very long time. They wanted to be near family members. John and
Wanda Cupp decided to sell their home after they had built a new home
outside of Lovelady. They are enjoying their farm and raising
cattle. The Switzers are in the process of making some changes to
their new home. They are really enjoying it. Scott works for an
Armored Car Company. They are the parents of two children.
Sara attends the University of Houston and Ethan is a student at Lone
Star Community College. Enjoy your new home!
Patrick
Ransom
9135 Elizabeth Road, Campbell Place
It came time for Mark Hayes III to sell the family’s
estate. Mark’s family had lived in the family home for over 4
decades. Mark with his daughters, Amber and Morgan has wonderful
memories about this home and lovely piece of land. Mark remembered his
Arabian horse, horse stalls, goats, dogs, his mother planting the baby
twigs that grew into huge trees, and spending hours and hours mowing
grass. Morgan and Amber loved having their own trampoline, a tree house
which their Grandfather built plus the goats, and horses to keep them
entertained. Thus, they were sadden when it came time to sell it.
The best thing that happened is that a wonderful family is now the
proud owners of this home nestled on a large piece of property that
would remind you of a park. As Patrick Ransom was out on a
bristle walk, he noticed the sign and gave Judy Bruner a call.
Standing in front of the home, they made arrangements to see it.
He fell in love with it. Then, he brought his children over to
visit the playground and home, No doubt, this would be any child’s
dream yard. The children all approved of their Dad’s choice.
Eventually, Patrick will be building a new home for his family on this
lot. My wish is that this family will enjoy it as much as Mark
did. Mark always said “This was the best place to grow up , we
had it all”.
Rhonda
Coolures
15702 Lakeview Dr., Jersey Village
Joe and Diana Green have built a lovely home in the
Village. Having lived in the Village for most of his life, Joe
wanted to continue to live where his “heart” is. At the time that they
were moving, it became apparent that another long-time Jersey Village
resident was needing a home. Rhonda thought that his home would be just
perfect for her and her family. She loved the beautiful updated
bath, a home with three fireplaces and being on one-level was a plus.
Cameron and his friends will enjoy the large swimming pool during the
hot days and the outdoor living space with its own fireplace this
winter. What a deal! The name of the Green’s family business is Green’s
Blue Flame Gas Co.
Gregory
& Jessica O’Neill
10506 Mills Walk Dr., Mills Walk
Having sold this home to Mr. and Mrs. Barnes about six
years ago, time to sell came sooner than we expected. Both Mr. and
Mrs. Barnes’ health failed them. Their son, Corky called to say we had
another home to sell. He and his brother spent lots of time
taking care of the estate and preparing the home for sale. A
lovely young couple looked at the home and felt that it was perfect for
them. The bride lived in the Northwest, but the groom was from the
Humble area. They decided the Northwest was best for their travel
time for employment. Greg and Jessica fell in love with the home.
They loved the floor plan. Being clean and neat certainly made a
positive impression. They closed on the home only one week prior
to the wedding. How great it would be to get married and go to
your new home. Greg and Jessica, we wish years and years of happiness!
John
& Teresa Hendrix
13910 White Glen Oak Ct., White Oak Springs
It was absolutely wonderful to meet and work with John
and Teresa. Their home was being purchased by a Home Buyout
Program for the Flood Control. The Hendrix loved their home and
really had a tough time with the decision that they had to go find
another home. Their home was just what they wanted. Teresa’s
swimming pool was what she really loved. Teresa loves to swim.
Having been reared in the North, she loves every minute of the sunshine
that she can soak up. Being retired, John seems to favor the
coolness of the air conditioning. I think he must be a true Texan.
Fortunately for them, they found a really nice home in the White Oak
Springs. It was a young home that had been give lots of love and
attention by its previous owners. The most important thing was to
be near Jersey Village church. They are very active in many areas
of the church. I think that they will be very happy.
Christopher
Carver
15905 Lakeview Dr., Jersey Village
Christopher was one of several people who wanted to move
into this lovely home. The Sellers had purchased this home earlier
and completely renovated it. When you walked in, you felt as though you
were walking into a new home. The kitchen has all new appliances,
handmade kitchen cabinets, granite counters, and tile flooring.
Both of the baths have replaced fixtures. Of course, the replaced
roof and flooring, interior/exterior paint, lighting make this home
beautiful. Christopher moved from a loft downtown. He is now
ready for the suburbs. Having his parents and grandparents close
is another bonus. Chris is Sales with Verizon Wireless. He
would love to have your business. His number is (713) 724-4602.
Scott &
Sorita Hanagriff
15714 Tenbury,
Jersey Village
Scott & Sorita loved living in
Jersey Village. Scott graduated from Jersey Village High School in
1986 and they were enjoying raising their own children here. Scott
received a fantastic job offer in Austin that he could not pass up, so
they put their lovely home on Tenbury on the market. It was a
lovely 1 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath home that had been beautifully redone.
The kitchen & baths had been remodeled with granite countertops, &
updated appliances & hardware. The home had decorator colors & new
Frieze carpet. It sat on almost 1/3 acre in the back of the
neighborhood on a very quiet, secluded street. This was a real
"gem" of a home! Fellow Realtor, Donna Neely with Berstein Realty,
discovered this great property and purchased it for herself. Scott
& Sorita purchased a lovely home in Austin and are presently unpacking
and getting ready for the school to start for their two children. Scott
& Sorita are enjoying Austin and their new home, but miss their friends
they have left behind. Best wishes to you, Scott & Sorita, on this
next chapter in your lives. We truly wish all of you the very
best!
Katie P.
Ziskrout
7803 Cathedral
Grove Lane, Woodland Oaks
Katie Ziskrout was in the market
to purchase a home. She found just a great home for her family.
The home belonged to Rose McCarty. Rose had worked for Bechtel
for many years. She had been transferred and needed to sell her home.
Rose is excited because the transfer moved her to be near her family in
far East Texas. She was really enjoying preparing her new yard and
getting it ready for the growing season. Upon closing, Katie was
on target and ready to lay some new tile and start the redecorating
process. Here’s wishing both of the families continue happiness in
their new homes.
John and
Marla Eckhoff
8309 Achgill St.,
Jersey Village
The Eckhoff family has been
looking forward to their move from Tucson, Arizona. Finally, they
have arrived. John is with employed by C.E. Shepherd Co.
Marla and
daughters, Chenin and Cheyenne will be looking forward to meeting the
neighbors and making new friends. The girls will love all the
shopping that is available. The girls will be getting here in time to
make some friends before starting to school. This summer rainy
season must be a novelty for them. They are accustom to the hot
and dry heat of Arizona. Good Luck, we hope you enjoy the heat as
much as all of us, (Houstonians). Marla will really be busy with the
move and decorating this beautiful home. Enjoy your new home.
Brian
Davis
8307 Sunny Ridge,
Copperfield Middlegate
Brian attended
Jersey Village High School, graduated from A&M and returned to Houston
for employment. He works with JDR Cables, Inc. and really enjoys
his work. Time came for Brian to purchase a home. We looked long
and hard to find the right neighborhood, the right home and the home
that would make him happy. We found it. It needs some work,
but since Brian is very, very handy, this home is perfect for him.
Helping Brian to select is new home is his fiancée, Stephanie
Wilkinson. Since I have seen the colored paint under Stephanie
fingernails, I know she is busy helping Brian. Wedding bells will
be ringing for these two nice people. Here’s wishing them a
lifetime of happiness.
Renee
Berry & Rev. Aaron Stewart
21327 Berry Ridge,
Sugarberry
Renee's family is very dear to
mine. Renee's mother, Ellouise, was our housekeeper (and Kevin's &
my surrogate mother) while growing up. We played with Ellouise &
Aaron's children, and love their family deeply. So when Renee
called and said that she wanted to find a home that she, her son EJ, and
her parents could move into together, it was an honor to help them find
the perfect home. But finding a home for 3 generations under one
roof, within a budget, was our initial challenge. Then once we
found the ideal home, processing the loan through Bank of America became
a nightmare - even our first loan officer quit before the transaction
was complete. It was frustrating for everyone involved, but divine
intervention intervened. Already 2.5 months into the transaction
with no one from B of A reviewing the file, our new loan officer (Cheryl
Oglesby) took over, and through her due diligence finally pushed our
file through. Literally 101 days after we went under contract, we
finally closed on July 19th. Now Renee, EJ, Ellouise, & Aaron are
moved into their new home. Aaron & Ellouise have the first floor
to themselves including a master bedroom down with a separate shower &
tub. Renee & EJ share the upstairs gameroom and 3 bedrooms.
The home was built in 2006 and has all the energy features of a new
construction home (double paned windows, etc). I am so happy that
we were finally able to help this family purchase a home. They are
the first people in their family to own their own home.
Congratulations to all! I hope you love it as much today and for
MANY YEARS to come. The true kudos goes to Cheryl Oglesby. I
have a handful of loan officers I use that do a FANTASTIC job, but if
any of you are inclined to go to Bank of America for your loan, please
give Cheryl a call -
832-252-2151 (and let her know where you heard about her).
Todd &
Marcie Fokken
Lots 24 & 25 in
Timberlake Estates
Patience is a virtue, and Todd &
Marcie Fokken truly have it by the truck-loads! This has been my
longest transaction yet - we went under contract on February 10th and
closed on July 9th. Todd & Marcie were referred to me by friend &
lender Matt Brown, as they were looking for a country lot to build their
dream home. They found the perfect 2 side-by-side lots in
Timberlake Estates. The seller, George Scroggins, had no clue that
the lots that have been in his family since 1952 did not have a free &
clear title, although the Scroggins family have been paying taxes on the
properties for 60+ years. Grandma never recorded the Deed of Trust
at the courthouse. We hit a brick-wall when the first title
company could not insure the lots without a clear title. Thank
goodness the buyers wanted to buy, and the seller wanted to sell, and
both parties were willing to see this through. I passed along the
name & number to John Tamburello, a magnificent title company attorney,
to see if he could work "his magic," and...indeed he did. After
months of work, John made a tight case, and made it possible for Stewart
Title to insure this title. Thank you John Tamburello & Jo Spohn
at Stewart Title for pulling this all together. Todd & Marcie are
getting ready for construction to begin. And by the beginning of
2011, the Fokken family will have a new house.
Congratulations Todd & Marcie! I pray that your home is everything
you dream it to be, and may you fill it with a lifetime of beautiful
memories.
Dick &
Rose Howard
10802 White Oak
Creek Ct, White Oak Springs
Dick & Rose Howard were referred
to me by Joe & Donna Danna (of JV). I love working with the Danna
family - Rose is one of Joe's 10 sisters. Dick & Rose moved out to
Waller a few years ago, only to decide to move closer to town to be near
family, and an aging mother. The Howards were FABULOUS to work
with! They worked with Matt Brown (281-630-3777), THE "Danna-family
lender," to get their homeloan and everything went extremely smoothly.
We looked at several homes in NW Houston (Rose says it was over 20) and
finally found the ideal home, a 2 story home in White Oak Springs (Hwy
290 @ Huffmeister behind the new Cypress hospital). It was perfect
and they knew they had found "THE one" from the moment they walked in
the door! It is a beautiful, well-loved home at the end of a
cul-de-sac, with a large pie-shaped yard with room for a swimming pool
(...some day). This open floorplan has high ceilings, double paned
windows, and lots of natural light. Kitchen has a long breakfast
bar that overlooks the living space. Master suite is downstairs,
and the upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a gameroom for guests and
grandchildren to enjoy. I know that Dick & Rose will enjoy many
holidays to come surrounded by their grandchildren and loving family.
And...with the addition of a swimming pool, I imagine you'll see more of
your grandchildren than you ever could have ever imagined, especially in
the summer. Congratulations, Dick & Rose!
Suzanne
Trevillion
11330 Old Mission,
Riata Ranch
Suzanne was referred to me by one
of her work colleagues, Corky Barnes. Suzanne was ABSOLUTELY
DELIGHTFUL to work with! She knew exactly what she was looking for
in a home, which helped narrow down and quickly eliminate the
"not-quite-right" properties. We found a GREAT home in Riata Ranch
with a swimming pool & hot tub. What a find! A real "gem" of
a home! It had an open, bright island kitchen, large formal
dining, and master down with an executive bath. Upstairs are 3
guest bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a large gameroom. This was one
of the easiest transaction I have had all year! Suzanne stayed
on-top of everything, taking care of the smallest of details in a very
timely fashion. She also worked with a wonderful loan officer,
Brandy Smith (713-875-8552
), who made this transaction seamless & virtually effortless.
The day after closing, the Trevillion family traveled in from Louisiana
to help Suzanne paint, move, & unpack. The whole family came in to
celebrate in the occasion of Suzanne purchasing her first home.
Suzanne has an INCREDIBLE family, a real family-oriented family who
would do anything for you in a moment's notice. I can see where
Suzanne gets it from. Best wishes in your new home, Suzanne.
Sherie
Littleton
15705 Seattle,
Jersey Village
Sherie is truly a dear friend that
I've known for a very long time. We've experienced so much
together - marriages, divorces, babies, deaths,... Sherie and I
grew up in Jersey Village, and she wanted to return to JV and purchase a
home for her and her two boys. This spring she was finally ready.
One thing about Sherie is she truly knows what she wants - if it doesn't
"meet the bill," she'll move on. It's really easy to shop with
her. We looked at only 4 homes on our first day, and as luck would
have it, we found her ideal home. It was a lovely colonial style
home that was reflective of everything Sherie. Sherie loves
antiques, so the oval front porch with columns & hardwood floors were
right up her ally. The kitchen was bright & white with granite
countertops with a tumbled marble backsplash. The master suite was
its own private retreat downstairs, with 3 bedrooms upstairs. The
backyard is beautiful and canopied by mature shade trees. It's also
within walking distance of Jersey Village High School, which is perfect
for the boys to walk home from school each day.
Congratulations Sherie!
Jesse
Gamboa & Lori Roberts
15831 Pinyon
Creek, Copperfield
Jesse and Lori had been looking
for the "right home" to come on the market for a few months. One
morning I received a phone call about this new home that had just come
on the market. I was driving past Copperfield and called to see if
I could make arrangements to "preview" the home for my clients.
The sellers, Jay & Rhonda Mogford, graciously accepted. When I
walked through the front door, I immediately recognized the floorplan.
It was same plan Jesse & Lori had fallen in love with, but it had one
thing more - a study at the front of the house that would be perfect for
a pool table. Yes, we had finally found a home that would suite
Jesse's pool table indoors. The home had all the "bells and
whistles" Jesse & Lori were looking for: spacious bedrooms, a roomy
kitchen for entertaining, and a gorgeous backyard. I immediately
called Lori and asked if she would "trust me" if I told her that I had
found "her" home. She said "yes." I laughed and told her
that I would be sending her an offer to sign before she actually saw the
home. She indeed trusted me, signing the offer and faxing it back.
I showed them the home after they got off work that night, and then
immediately sent in the offer. It was EXACTLY what they had been
looking for! Our contract was accepted and the rest, as they say,
was history. This was one of the smoothest transactions I had had
in a very long time. Congratulations Jesse & Lori on your new
home! You are a delightful couple and I had a blast working with
you.
Jesse
Gamboa
9611 Eblen,
Woodland Trails North
Jesse had raised his two children
in his quaint home in Woodland Trails, but as his kids had grown up he
was ready for a new home with a larger kitchen (Jesse's a chef at Buca
di Beppo on Buffalo Speedway) & room for his pool table (inside the
house). Jesse's home had been well-cared for through the years,
and just needed a new family. The home was charming - 887sqft,
with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and 2 car garage, located at the end of
cul-de-sac. When Lucinda Allen saw this dollhouse of a home, she
fell in love. It was perfect for Lucy, a school district
secretary, and her son. Although there were some delays and a few
"hiccups" along the way, everyone stayed optimistic and the sale went
through in the end. This buyer bought, and the seller sold.
Everyone was happy! Congratulations Lucy on the purchase of your
FIRST home! I know how exciting this can be. We hope you
love this home as much as Jesse has through the years. It's
wonderful to finally be able to make a house "yours" and finally call it
"home."
Chris &
Kayla Towle
13215 Water Oak
Park Circle, Oak
Hollow Estates
Chris & Kayla loved their home in
Jersey Village, but when they found out they were expecting Baby #3,
they suddenly needed more space. I had sold them their home on
Congo several years ago (when they were just newlyweds), and was excited
to work with them again! We quickly started looking for larger
homes for their expanding family. They wanted to find a home that
would not only accommodate their newest addition, but also have a
mother-in-laws quarters for Chris's mom. We found an incredible
home in the small neighborhood of Oak Hollow Estates (Jones Rd @ Grant
Rd area). This was everything they had been looking for - spacious
bedrooms for their growing children, a large kitchen for entertaining,
and even a separate quarters for Mom. It even has its own
kitchenette! The home also has a large backyard and a swimming
pool for the kids to play in all summer long. This home is a
perfect match! Congratulations Chris & Kayla!
Congratulations on your new home and new baby. I am so
excited for you! You are an absolute delight to work with and I
wish you and your families the very best. (Now, we just need
to sell your home in J.V.)
Mark &
Amy Barile
10006 Burgoyne,
Briargrove Park
Amy is a dear friends of mine.
Once Mark & Amy got married, they quickly outgrew their 2 bedroom, 1
bath bungalow that they share with their 3 family dogs. They
originally were looking for a home in The Heights, where they currently
have a 900/sqft bungalow. When we could not find their perfect
home in The Heights, they expanded their search into the Memorial,
Westchase, & Briarforest areas. We found a fabulous 4 bedroom, 2
bath, 1 story mid-century modern home in Briargrove Park. It had
been completely remodeled - which was ideal for this extremely busy
young couple. It has new cabinetry & granite in the kitchen,
gorgeous remodeled bath with a step-in shower with 2 shower heads,
formal dining room, 3 living areas, wood burning fireplace, and large
picture windows throughout that draw in lots of natural light.
This home truly reflects Mark & Amy's style - it looks like "them."
May you fill your home with a million beautiful memories for many years
to come. Congratulations! Tom & Joyce, thank you for introducing
your lovely daughter to me so many years ago. It's been a pleasure
working with her & Mark.
Mindy
Schempf
13015
Marble Crest, Canyon Lakes Village
Brooke Howard referred her
good friend, Mindy Schempf to me. Mindy found a lovely
Pulte home in Canyon Lakes Village, only minutes away from Brooke &
Matt. The home was built in 2004, had a island kitchen, 3
bedrooms, ceramic tile & wood flooring throughout. It was the
perfect size...and the perfect home! The original homeowner, Shawna,
had been single when she purchased the home, and in 5 years had
married, had one baby, and was 9 months pregnant when she closed on
this home. She outgrew this home quickly! Luckily we
were able to sign and close before she went into labor. Before
moving in, Mindy was personalizing her new home with a fresh coat of
decorator paint colors and some personal touches. She is
looking forward to meeting her new neighbors. I believe her
mother is already planning a house-warming party. Mindy, I
hope you love your home. I truly enjoyed working with you.
Congratulations on your new home!
Jon
& Gayle Wellborn
14403 Bella
Florence, Lakes of Bella Terrace
Dave & Marianne Davies
referred Jon & Gayle Wellborn to me. They were all once
neighbors in Williamsburg Settlement in Katy. While Jon was
working abroad in the oil industry, Gayle was living in a 448sqft
cabin outside Columbus, TX. After a year, she was ready to
move. Gayle and I looked for homes in the Katy, Richmond,
Rosenburg, and Sugar Land areas knowing Jon was due to back in
Houston to work primarily in the main office in Houston starting in
February. Luckily, we found a spectacular new construction
home with Darling Homes in Lakes of Bella Terra. It is
everything that they had been looking for. An island kitchen
with granite, formal dining, master down with an executive bath (&
large shower & huge walk in closet), a study, and 2 more bedrooms
down. I personally like the laundry room that connects to the
master bedroom. And best of all, upstairs is Jon's personal
"man cave" - a media room with a full bath. This room will house his
big screen TV and game-hunting trophies. Thank you for giving
me the opportunity to work with you and get to know you. You
are a lovely couple. I hope you enjoy your new home for many
years to come!
Matt
King & Jill Danna
14403 Bach
Springs, North Lake Forest
Matt & Jill found the ideal
home for their new family in North Lake Forest. When Matt &
Jill saw this home for the first time, both of them "knew" that it
was everything that they were looking for. It has a large
island kitchen, downstairs master, and 3 large bedrooms & a gameroom
up for Matt's two growing boys. It is also located at the end
of a cul-de-sac with a neighborhood walking trail to one side.
Great for boys to ride bikes through the neighborhood and play with
friends. This was my first transaction in 2010, and we had
difficulty with all of the new lending changes. This home was also a
foreclosure which came with its own set of "challenges." But
with patience from all parties, and Jill's due diligence it getting
things to her lender Matt Brown in a timely fashion, we were able to
close only 1 week later than originally scheduled. Jill was a
fantastic good sport through this entire transaction! Thank
you, Joe & Donna, for referring your lovely daughter to me.
She is an incredible woman who I absolutely loved working with.
Congratulations Matt & Jill on your new home. I hope it is
everything you dream it will be as your start your lives together.
2009
Lewis
& Imogene Raymor
5214
Council Grove, Inwood Forest
Fellow Realtor Ellen Wenske
referred Lewis & Imogene Raymor to me. The Raymors had a
lovely home in Inwood Forest that they had lived in for years - they
were the original homeowners. This was a fabulous home with 4
bedrooms and 2.5 baths that backed up to the former Inwood Forest
golf course. The home was nestled beneath large oak trees.
The Raymors retired to a home in Ingram, TX and had decided to sell
their home in Inwood Forest. We thought it would take months
to sell their home, but we had a full price offer on their home
within days of putting it on the market. The buyers, Shalissa
& Raymond, were a young couple who were fortunate enough to be able
to find a home right across the street from Shalissa's mother.
Her mother would help with the couple's young children. What a
fortunate find! Congratulations to Shalissa & Raymond on your
new home. And my best wishes to Lewis & Imogene Raymor, who
are still very much in love after all these years. Cheers to
these high-school sweethearts! May you enjoy your retired
years together as much as you've enjoyed your many years together.
It was truly a pleasure working with you and getting to know you.
Tammy
Barta
12102 Briar
Forest, Country Village
Tammy was relocating to
Houston from Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her agent in Fayetteville
referred Tammy to me, and I truly enjoyed working with her. We
looked at homes in the Memorial and Briar Forest area, trying to
find a home close to the Beltway for Tammy's commute. I got to
know Tammy and her friends well - what a fantastic group of friends!
Tammy flew in several
weekends, until we finally found the right home. It was a
modern 1 story home with high angled ceilings, 3 bedrooms & 2 baths
that she will be sharing with her cats and a roommate. The
home was ideal because it had two atriums, allowing her cats to
enjoy the outdoors without living solely inside or out. It was
also a split bedroom floorplan which would be ideal for she and her
roommate. Now, Tammy is in the process of updating her home
with some new flooring and a fresh coat of paint before she moves
in. In a few weeks, the house will look and feel like "home."
Welcome to Houston, Tammy! We hope you come to enjoy it here
for many years to come.
John
& Beth Ontiveros
21027
Carmel Valley, Settlers Village
John & Beth are an incredible
couple to work with! They were looking to relocate so that
they could be closer to their work. John works in the organ
transplant unit at Methodist Hospital and Beth works at the VA.
They are two of the sweetest people one could ever meet - and their
hearts are in the right place. They wanted to relocate to the
Pearland area so that they could spend less time on the road each
night from the Medical Center, and more time with their son.
In just 36 days after putting their house on the market, we had a
full price, cash offer on their home. Unbelievable! This
was the smoothest transaction I have had in a very long time.
Wanda Rychlik was wanting to move closer to her daughter, who lives
in Settlers Village. This home was a perfect match for Wanda.
The home was a single story with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, wood floors, a
beautiful bright white kitchen, and a yard filled with trees.
It was truly lovely! Wanda sold on her home in Oak Forest one
day, to purchase her Settlers Village home the next. Only for
John & Beth to be able to purchase their Pearland "dream home" the
following day. It was virtually a picture perfect transaction!
Every piece just fell into place - Incredible! Now, John &
Beth have settled into their Pearland home. We do wish you the
very best in this new beginning in your lives. Thank you for
giving me the opportunity to work with you. It was truly a
pleasure!
Brijesh
& Palak Sadrangani
10507
Barnstable, Gleannloch Farms
I had helped Brijesh & Palak
purchase their David Weekley home in 2004. It was exciting
watching this young couple build their first home together as
newlyweds. In July (5 years and one baby later), I got a phone
call from Brijesh saying that he and Palak had decided to relocate
to Austin, TX and they would like for me to put their home on the
market. When I got to the house that first day, I realized
that Brijesh was more certain about this new adventure than Palak.
This was Palak's first home with her husband, the place where she
had had their first baby and created a home full of memories.
Brijesh was ready to start a new chapter in their lives, but his
wife was not there yet...and I completely understood. I gave
them a list of suggestions, of things to do, in order to get the
house ready to sell when they were ready - cleaning out closets,
shampooing the carpet, and neutralizing paint to de-personalize the
space. By August they were ready - they were both mentally
ready as well as they had got the house ready to sell. They
had staged their home beautifully! Brijesh & Palak had also
taken some trips to Austin and began the process of looking at
homes. All this helped "divorce" themselves from their home in
Gleannloch Farms and they began getting excited about their next one
in Austin. Within 22 days we had an offer on their home from
Michael & Amber Riess, a newlywed couple just like them not so long
ago. They loved the floorplan; loved that the home was a 1
story with 3 bedrooms, had a study, and they loved the "flex room"
between the 2 guest bedrooms. They loved the colors,
especially soft steel blue in the master, the sellers' simple
streamlined-style furniture, and the cleanliness of the home. It was
a perfect match! Congratulations to both Michael & Amber and
Brijesh & Palak! May you find much happiness as you venture
off in these new chapters in your lives. Best of luck to all
of you.
Dave
& Marianne Davies
10918
Angel Lake, Canyon Gate at Westheimer Lakes
I have never worked with a
more resilient and optimistic couple as Dave & Marianne Davies.
Their optimism never seemed to waver through this journey of selling
and buying a home simultaneously. During our venture together,
we kept finding homes of interest and writing offers that the
sellers would reject because it was a "double contingency."
The buyers that were buying the Davies' home in Williamsburg
Settlement also had a home to sell - thus creating a domino effect.
If one contract fell through, then they would all consequently fall
through as a response. So, although the Davies found several
homes of interest, the sellers would not accept their offers.
It must have been discouraging for them, but they really didn't let
it show. Ultimately, we looked at new construction and,
indeed, found their perfect home. It was larger than they
would have imagined with lots of upgrades and amenities for a
comparable price to what we found with the resale homes. The
home had granite in the kitchen, downstairs master suite, formal
living & dining room, and den with a fireplace. Upstairs it
had 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a gameroom, AND a media room. We
had stumbled across a real "gem" of a home at a great price!
It was everything that they had been looking for and so much more!
And the best news of all...the builder was willing to accept our
contingency offer based on the Davies closing their home first.
What a deal! It was a match made in heaven! We closed on
their home in Williamsburg Settlement on August 29th, and then
turned around and closed on their new Triumph Home home on August
31st, the next business day. Congratulations, Dave & Marianne!
We hope you & the kids love your new home as much today and many
years to come.
Dave
& Marianne Davies
22446
Bucktrout, Williamsburg Settlement
Marianne and I worked together
in Alief ISD years ago - she is a fantastic and enthusiastic
individual. I was excited when Marianne called for me to help
she and Dave sell their home - excited that I could help them, but
also excited to work with Marianne again. Dave is also an
educator, principal at a Christian school in Simonton. Dave &
Marianne had a lovely home in Williamsburg Settlement that they were
wanting to sell, so that they could purchase a little larger home
preferably with an upstairs gameroom for their two kids. The
home was a fabulous floorplan with a large den with a fireplace,
spacious master downstairs, and 3 bedrooms up with really large
walk-in closets. This home had wonderful storage space! The
Davies replaced the carpet and gave the interior a fresh coat of
paint, just to "spruce things up" before putting the home on the
market. What a difference it made! We had a lot of
interest in the home from the start. Our first offer fell
through because it was a contingency based on the buyers selling
their own home. The buyers for their home backed out;
therefore, the initial buyers for the Davies home had to withdraw
their offer. Those buyers were so disappointed. But it didn't
take long, for Ed & Kim Mayberry to see the house and write an offer
of their own (mid-July). They loved everything about the home!
It was just what they had always wanted. Dave & Marianne had
put the house on the market at the end of April, with the goal of
selling before the end of the summer. To everyone's delight,
we closed on August 28th. The Mayberrys love their new home
and truly enjoy living in Williamsburg Settlement. Welcome
home, Ed & Kim. We hope you fill your new home with lots of
love & countless memories.
Candy
Fair
7718
Winkleman, Mission Bend
Frances Hooper, former
colleague in Alief ISD and dear friend, referred a fellow colleague
Candy Fair to me when she was commissioned to sell her father's
home. What a difficult task it must be to go through one's
parents' belongings as one gets ready to sell an estate. There
is so much paperwork to do and personal effects to sort through.
I was amazed at how well and efficiently Candy handled things.
She was remarkable to work with! She boxed up personal items,
and staged the home to sell. I had more interest in this one
little home than I've had on all my other listings this year.
This home was 1097 sqft, with 3 bedrooms & 2 baths that was built in
1998 in Alief. This is considered new construction for the
area and we had lots of activity and interest. Our first two
contracts fell though because buyers could not get final loan
approval, but as they say, the "third time's the charm." The
home was sold to Emmy & Hope Gabriel. They were an absolutely
lovely couple just starting out, and never thought they could own a
home - it was a dream come true. It was a pleasure to see this
home go to such a nice family. I wish Candy and her family the
best, knowing that this will be the first Christmas without her
father. And I hope you are able to take some comfort in knowing that
happiness prevails in the home your father loved so much, as the
Gabriels will be celebrating their first Christmas in a home they
never thought possible.
Holly
Amerson
12800 Briar
Forest #101, Stonehenge
Frank & Pat Russell moved to
Stonehenge a little over a year ago, and so when their neighbor
Holly Amerson got ready to sell her home, they suggested that Holly
give me a call. Holly was delightful to work with, and was
open to suggestions to help get her home ready to sell. She
packed up non-essential items, and staged her home beautifully.
It looked spectacular! The first couple to see the home was
the couple to purchase it, Pastor & Laura Giraud. They loved
the large floorplan (a rarity in Stonehenge) and beautiful wood
floors. The home had 4 spacious bedrooms with the master down, an
island kitchen, formal dining, vaulted ceilings, and lots of
windows. One of the bedrooms was so large upstairs it could
also be used as a gameroom instead of a bedroom. It was just
what the Giraud family was looking for. With only a few
lending "hickups" at the end, we made it to the closing table, and
everyone was happy! Holly
and her son are now starting a new life with Holly's fiance, Jason,
as they are building a home together in Cross Creek Ranch.
We wish Holly & Jason the best as they begin their new lives
together. Cheers to new beginnings! And please welcome
Pastor & Laura to the Stonehenge community. May you love this
home and enjoy raising your family here as much as Holly did.
Mike
& Marla McElvany
17307
Canyon Knoll, Sheffield
I had met the McElvanys a year
before at one of my Open Houses in Sheffield Estates. So I was
quite honored to receive a phone call from Mike & Marla when they
decided to put their home on the market. They had a gorgeous
Newmark home - it was a one story, 4 bedroom home that they had
beautifully updated - granite countertops with glass tile
backsplash, decorator colors, blinds, sprinkler system, etc...
They were impeccable homeowners and the home shined like a new penny
inside and out. There was nothing that needed to be addressed - it
was evident that they truly loved their home. We received a
first offer on the home within 7 days that ended up falling through,
but received a 2nd offer in just a matter of days after putting the
home back on the market. It was a perfect match!
Jennifer Nguyen was a first time homebuyer, and her agent recognized
this home was "better than new." The maintenance would be
minimal for this woman buying her first home because it had been so
well cared for. Jennifer loved the glass tiled backsplash in
the kitchen, and the soft decorator colors throughout the home.
She also loved being so close to her family by living in Sheffield
Estates. Congratulations Mike & Marla on the sale of your
home! You were an absolutely lovely couple to work with.
And welcome to Sheffield, Jennifer. We hope that you are happy
here for many years to come.
Charles
& Sandra Luna
8206 Green
Bank, Copperfield
The Luna family has been
living in California for many years. They decided that they
would like to return to their “roots” and come home to Houston.
Upon their return, we started looking for a home. They
found just the perfect home for their family. We had look long
and hard for a couple of days and decided to expand our search.
A great home had just come on the market. With one look,
they knew this was their perfect home. They loved it so much,
they lived in temporary house for nearly two months waiting for the
owners to vacate. Finally, they are at home with their two
daughters, Kassandra and Kayla. The girls love soccer.
Their parents are already busy with coaching and participating in
all their daughters activities. Most important, Lady, the
canine lady loves her new home and swimming pool.
Audelia
Castro
20207 Plum
Trails Court, Raintree Village
Having completed the third
transaction in five years for Jeff and Susan Ross, they are on the
move again! They loved their beautiful home and yard in Katy.
They spent a lot of time under the huge covered patio, cooking on
the barbeque grill and enjoying their peaceful garden. The
driving time for them was really a struggle. Jeff and Susan
own a company for medical equipment. They needed to be closer to the
Medical Center and their office. They are now living in the
shadows of the Medical Center and love the short “hike” to work.
The new owner, Audelia Castro will really enjoy all the hard work
and love that Jeff and Susan put into their home.

overwhelming for Logan, but that will change. Brian

Jason and Lauren are really happy. They
found a great home for themselves in Tower Oaks Plaza. The
home is located on a very large lot and has a covered patio.
Caleigh, their daughter who is 2 years of age loves to play on
the patio. Jason will be remodeling a large storage
building into a guy’s game room. They have so many great plans
for the home. They have already finished painting Caleigh’s room
pink. Lauren is looking forward to substituting school
this year. Both set of Jersey

Tammie Jones) will have a longer drive to see Caleigh.
Jason is employed with Mechanical Piping Systems.

Three friends, Clayton, Blanton, and David who
graduated from Texas A&M moved into this nice three bedroom
home. They were so excited to find a home with three bedroom and
multiple baths in an area that would make commuting desirable
for all three men. They were glad to have a garage and a
car port for their cars. Clayton, originally from Katy is now
employed as a Sales Engineer for Daily Thermetrics.
Blanton is a Sub Surface Technician with Exxon Mobil.
David Janin is an Engineer with Baker Hughes. It is great
to see three young men excited with their new lives as
professional men. Congratulations!
Theo

Theo & Debra were very
fortunate to find their dream home in Jersey Village. They
purchased the home that belonged to David & Sanne Wang. The
Wangs are in the restaurant business - they own Shanghai River on
Westheimer in River Oaks. They designed a fantastic kitchen.
Now Debra has a side-by-side refrigerator and a side-by-side deep
freezer in her well appointed kitchen. How is great is that!
The Woodards are really enjoying their swimming pool, and will be
pleased to make many new friends.
Mark
& Yolanda Hayes
109 Wind
Rose Ct., Jersey Village
Mark & Yolanda married last
January. The home where Mark resided on St. Helier was not
large enough for the new blended family. They found a home
that would be adequate for the size of their new family.
Yolanda has decorated the interior of their new home beautifully.
She loves her patio and plants. Mark stays active with the
children and their sports. Mark with has been with Clay
Development for many years.

The Lowerys had been search
for a long, long time for the perfect home for themselves.
Sandra had nearly beaten a path in the pavement to and from Jersey
Village to visit their family, the Keith Davids. Jim & Sandra
have been very busy placing their signature on their new home.
This was the home of Clyde & Lori Hayes. This had been a
long-time Hayes family home that had been truly loved through the
years. Jimmy & Sandra are looking forward to meeting neighbors
and making new friends.

Sierra Lane, Jersey Village
Sukesh & RAchel had decided
that they only wanted to live in Jersey Village. They were
waiting for "their" home to come on the market. Richard &
Shirley Kaucher placed their home on Sierra Lane for sale.
Sukesh & Rachel saw it on the first day the home was on the market.
The rest is history! Sukesh & Rachel are truly happy about
establishing a true home. They have been in school and
traveling extensively. Dr. Aghara teaches nuclear engineering
at Prairie View A & M. Richard & Shirley are really enjoying
the home that they built in Brenham, but really miss their long-time
friends of Jersey Village.
Dr. S. Aghara teaches Nuclear Engineering at Prairie
View A&M University and is a research scientist with NASA.
Clint
Mote
9826 Haverdown, Steeplechase
Clint purchased his house in December 2008, only to
shortly thereafter fall in love and become engaged to his new
bride-to-be, Dyna Wallace. What a year of changes! After
careful evaluation, neither house could accommodate their soon-to-be
blended families, so both Clint & Dyna decided to sell their homes
in order to purchase a single home together that would meet their
entire family's needs. Dyna's mother lives with her and they
really needed a home with two master suites. Clint had several
offers on his home, and on Day 53 finally settled on selling it to a
delightful young lady, Yesinia Osti, whose parents also live in the
area. It was the perfect size for her - not too big or too
small, but "just right" - with the master bedroom down, and two
smaller bedrooms & a loft up. She also loved the swimming pool,
patio, and landscaped backyard. We wish Yesinia much happiness in
her new home. And many congratulations to Clint & Dyna on your
new lives together! Cheers to new beginnings!
Ted
& Lori Lively
15611 Mustang Creek, Stable Gate
Ted & Lori searched for a home in Jersey Village but
never quite found the one that was "just right" - the one that would
be worth selling their 3 bedroom home on Leeds Lane for. Then
we found a beautiful home in the gated community of Stable Gate.
This home was simply elegant with a downstairs study for Ted,
spacious kitchen for Lori, and a swimming pool in the back for the
kids. It was everything that had been searching for!
Downstairs master suite with executive bath, and then 4 full
bedrooms and a gameroom up with 2 full baths. Located on a quiet
cul-de-sac street. Only days before we had discovered this
treasure of a home, had the Livelys found out they were expecting
Baby #3. Now there will be ample space for their growing
family! And enough room for family to visit when the new baby
arrives. Congratulations! It looks like 2009 will be an
exciting year for Ted & Lori is so many ways. We truly wish
you the very best!
David
& Lynn Pritchard
15602 Australia, Jersey Village
David & Lynn had raised their two girls Sarah Beth &
Becca in this home. They had truly loved it, and put time and money
updating it, so that it would be the ideal home for their family.
They had even remodeled the master bath to incorporate a tub that
would fit David's 6'4" frame. In 2005, they had put in a
beautiful salt water laguna pool with a waterfall. The garage
had an extensive workshop area. The location was ideal as the
girls could walk to Post Elementary when they were little, and then
roll-out-of-bed and race across the street before the morning bell
rang as high school teenagers. The Pritchards had really made
this house their "home." So after they had purchased another
home in Jersey Village, relinquishing this home with all of its
memories was very difficult. The home had a lot of interest,
and at Day 83 the Pritchards accepted one of the offers. But
not until Lynn met the new soon-to-be owners (at that time) did she
finally feel comfortable selling her beloved home. But Aaron &
Heather Tuggle are about in the same place in their lives as the
Pritchards were when they purchased this home. They are a
young couple, just starting out, with one little boy (3 years old)
and another baby on the way (due this fall). They are an
absolutely delightful couple! Welcome Aaron & Heather to the
Jersey Village community. Hope you enjoy this home as much as
David & Lynn did for many years to come.
Ted
& Lori Lively
15314 Leeds, Jersey Village
As the Livelys' two children were growing, so did
their need for more space. They had been looking for larger
homes in Jersey Village with a swimming pool, but never found one
that quite matched. But they found several homes in other
neighborhoods that met their needs. They decided to put their
home in Jersey Village on the market and had 2 offers within the
first 19 days. Buyers loved this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, with
MASSIVE closet & storage space throughout. Ted & Lori had
given their home a "face left" with a fresh coat of paint & new
carpet throughout. It was the perfect size for a single person
or young couple just starting out. The Livelys sold their home
to Carl Baker, whose family also lives in Jersey Village. Carl was
also a graduate of Jersey Village High School. Welcome back to
Jersey Village! Ted & Lori purchased this home when they were
newlyweds and they hope Carl enjoys it as he begins this next
exciting chapter in his life. Congratulations, Carl!
Best wishes to all!
James
& Cindy Deitiker
9602 Winter Run, Willowlake
James & Cindy adore living in Willowlake, and had
only "toyed" with the idea of selling their home although they knew
they & their daughter were beginning to need more space. They
enjoy the neighborhood, their neighbors, the schools,
location,...EVERYTHING. One day they walked into an Open House
and knew it was the home for them. They purchased 9714 Winter
Run and a month later put their home at 9602 Winter Run on the
market. It was an ideal 1 story, 4 bedroom smaller home with
some great upgrades - wood laminate flooring & neutral colored paint
throughout. An ideal home for someone just starting out.
On Day 34, James & Cindy accepted an offer from Brian & Maria
Harlan, a sweet young couple just starting their lives together.
The Deitikers remembered what is was like setting up a first home,
and really went the "extra mile" leaving things the Harlans would
need to help set up their new home. Now they are all neighbors
in Willowlake. Welcome to the Willowlake family, Brian &
Maria. We hope that you as happy here for years to come as
James & Cindy have been!
Sean
& Melissa Piper
5307 Hanneck Valley, Cinco Ranch Greenway Village
When we sold Sean & Melissa's home in less than 1
month, we could not find a place fast enough for them to move into.
The couple and their two children temporarily moved in with
Melissa's parents, Mike & Frances Hooper, until we could find the
right home. This was going to be their "long term home" so
they wanted it to have enough space for their growing children, and
have the amenities they were looking for. They did not want to
"settle" on this long-term investment, and they also felt certain
about living in the Katy area where their children are enrolled in
Katy ISD schools, Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics, etc.... So when we
came across 5307 Hanneck Valley in Cinco Ranch, everyone knew it was
the Piper's Home! It was a lovely Lennar home with a study
down, island kitchen, master bedroom down, and upstairs 3 more
bedrooms with 2 additional full baths and a gameroom. It had
an oversize detached garage which Sean really wanted, and a
beautiful swimming pool that the whole family could enjoy and still
have yard for the dog. The search was over! The entire
family has been enjoying these hot summer days in the pool before
school starts, although I think these Piper "fish" may swim all year
long. Congratulations Sean & Melissa on finding the home of
your dreams! As you know, your entire family shares a very
special place in my heart. (FYI - I taught Melissa's brother Matthew
in my 9th grade English class in Alief "many moons" ago).
April
Gray
9206 Bent Spur, Winchester Country Trails
April decided that she wanted to sell her home in
Jersey Village and purchase another home in the area for she and her
two daughters, Alannah & Amelia. They wanted a new beginning -
a home all their own. The most important item for April was to
keep youngest girl at Jersey Village High School. The Gray
family did their homework, looking and evaluating the homes in the
area that met their needs and pocketbook. Once they got an
offer on their Wall St home, they made an offer on 9206 Bent Spur.
It was ideal for them with a study, formal dining, living room with
fireplace, bright white island kitchen, downstairs master, upstairs
separate bedrooms giving these two "young ladies" their own space,
and LOTS of walk-in attic storage space (perfect for storing
Christmas ornaments). Of course, April's dad, Tommy Gray of
Jersey Village, loved the detached 2 car garage for his daughter.
The home had mature shade trees in the front and back, and was just
what April was looking for. We did have some problems with the
appraisal which was done in the middle of some lending changes, but
patience prevailed among all of the parties and we finally closed
with relative ease. The girls settled into their new home
quickly, and absolutely love it. Cheers to this new beginning,
Gray girls! We wish you the very best in this next chapter in
all of your lives!
James
& Cindy Deitiker
9714 Winter Run, Willowlake
James & Cindy purchased their home at 9602 Winter Run
in Willowlake when it was just the two of them. Then as things
happen, along came their little girl and life as they knew it would
never be the same. Through the years, they slowly started to
run out of space, especially as their daughter went from being a
small child to a young teen. They wanted more room for their
daughter to have sleep-overs with friends and more space to "spread
her wings." So when James & Cindy randomly walked into an Open
House down the street one Sunday, they knew they had walked into
their next home. The home at 9714 Winter Run had a charming
front porch, large dining room, island kitchen, master down, wood
floors downstairs, and then 3 bedrooms and a gameroom up. It
was perfect! They loved living in Willowlake, truly enjoyed
their neighbors and the neighborhood amenities. Their daughter
would not have to change schools, and their church (Foundry United
Methodist on Jones Rd) would still be close. And, James could
still hop on the Beltway to get to work in the mornings. It
was one of the easiest decisions the Deitikers had ever made!
Except for some personalized colors & wallpapers, the home was truly
a "match" for this family. Congratulations James & Cindy on
your new home. May your home bring you much happiness for
years to come!
Sean
& Melissa Piper
20502 Somerset Hill Ct., Lakemont
Several years ago, Sean & Melissa built their 1
story, 4 bedroom Lennar home in Lakemont. It was their first
home together with only one baby at the time. Now with two
growing children, they wanted to find their "long-term" home where
they would raise their kids through high school. They wanted
to relocate into Katy ISD and they wanted a home with a swimming
pool, if we could find one. So, we put their home on the
market and started looking for their next home. But as things
would have it, their home had A LOT of immediate interest. It
was a beautiful Lennar floorplan with a formal dining room, large
triangle-shaped kitchen, spacious living room, and a split bedroom
floorplan, and had a fully fenced MASSIVE cul-de-sac backyard. At
exactly 30 days, they accepted an offer from Howard & Neelie Zietz,
a retired couple who fell in love with the house and the Lakemont
community. It was the perfect size for the two of them, and
they loved the newer construction. Welcome Howard & Neelie to
the Lakemont community! Hope you enjoy this home as much as
Sean & Melissa did for many, many years!
Bill
& Julie Toth
15801 Honolulu, Jersey Village
Bill & Julie loved their Georgian plantation home,
the "White House in Jersey Village," but their needs were changing.
Julie's parents would be moving in with them, and they needed a home
that could accommodate their new extended family. 15801
Honolulu was a beautiful home that had A LOT of public interest!
It was a traditional white Georgian plantation-style home with a
large porch in the front & back, hardwood floors in the dining,
light bright white kitchen with granite, exquisite & expansive
downstairs master suite, 3 bedrooms & gameroom up. The lush,
landscaped backyard was its own private paradise with a large
swimming pool, outdoor cabana, and even a gazebo with its own bell
tower. The timing was perfect - the house was put on the
market right before one of our big "JV Showcase of Homes" Open
Houses that we included in the tour. We had 20+ families tour
the home that day, including the couple who ended up purchasing it.
On Day 8, Bill & Julie accepted an offer from Patrick & Cari
Cadorette, a young couple who fell in love with the house and the
all of the amenities Jersey Village had to offer. The Toths
then purchased a magnificent home on 20+ acres in Waller with a
pond. Both families have now "settled in" and seem very happy
with their new homes. We wish both the Cadorettes & the Toths
the very best!
April
Gray
16129 Wall St., Jersey Village
April wanted a "fresh start" with her girls and
decided to purchase a new home in the area. We put her home at
16129 Wall St on the market and had it on tour during our "JV
Showcase of Homes" Open House. The house was a nice
traditional 2 story home with a large living room with fireplace,
white kitchen, downstairs master, and 3 bedrooms up. The home
was well-kept but had not been renovated or remodeled per se.
By Day 8, April had accepted an offer from Wayne & Karen Hyman.
The Hymans loved the location of Jersey Village as it was presently
located in between their 2 separate residences. This would be
their home together, and the idea of living off the Beltway for easy
access to both of their jobs made JV ideal. The home was great
for the Hymans! It was just the right size, layout, & price.
And because April had purchased a new flood elevation certificate
recently, they were even able to get a reduction in their new flood
insurance policy. Everyone was happy! April then
purchased another home in Winchester Country Trails so that her
youngest daughter could finish school at Jersey Village High School.
Both families are excited about their new beginnings! Welcome
Wayne & Karen Hyman to the Jersey Village family! We hope you
are happy living here for many years to come!
Wayne
& Molly Wilson
16502 St. Helier, Jersey Village
Wayne & Molly wanted to sell their home at 16502 St.
Helier in Jersey Village. They asked for advice about paint,
carpet, & tile to "freshen it up" before putting it on the market.
It was a beautiful home with a cottage-look on the outside, vaulted
ceilings in the living room with a stone fireplace, master bedroom
and a 2nd bedroom with full bath downstairs, and 2 bedrooms up.
The backyard was a lovely paradise with an expansive wooden deck,
hot tub, and swimming pool (and bath house). The home was well-loved
and Molly had a great "eye" for staging the home before putting it
on the market. They had left minimal furniture in the home,
but just enough so that it was staged very well. (Molly would
say that it was my doing, but truly she was the one that staged the
house beautifully). By Day 11, the Wilsons had accepted an
offer from Blake & Julia Beddingfield, fellow residents of Jersey
Village. They fell in love with the house and it was a perfect
match for this young family. They were looking for a larger
home, and one with a pool was simply "icing on the cake."
The Wilsons moved into another home in Jersey Village, and the
Beddingfields moved into their "cottage" on St. Helier. Both
families seem very happy with their new homes, and we wish everyone
the very best in the next chapter in their lives! It was truly
a pleasure working with you.
Laurie
Delley
4035 Heathersage, Deerfield Village
Laurie had lived in the area a couple of years ago,
and was ready to return when we started looking at patio homes again
in the area. She loved Deerfield Village, where I live, when
we discovered a little "treasure" at 4035 Heathersage. This
was an estate home previously owned by an elderly woman, and it
needed some work. But the 2 bedroom, 2 bath patio home was
filled with possibilities. It was a great floorplan and it was
located on a cul-de-sac street, like most of the homes in Deerfield
Village. The home was the perfect size for Laurie and an ideal
project for this "visionary." She loved to see what she could
do with the home so that it reflected her personality instead of the
previous owner who was very "artsy." Laurie absolutely loves
her new home and is passionate about living in Deerfield Village.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Laurie! It is always a pleasure
working with you. I hope you are happy with your home for many
years to come!
Wayne
Coleman / David & Lynn Pritchard
15905 Capri, Jersey Village
Wayne Coleman decided to sell his home in Jersey
Village as he realized that he was spending more time between his
beach house in Port O'Conner and his business ventures in Mexico.
This was a beautiful and unique property for the City of Jersey
Village. 15905 Capri was a sprawling ranch-style home on 2+
acres. It has wood floors throughout much of the downstairs,
master suite with an executive bath, private patio with a waterfall,
island kitchen and downstairs gameroom, upstairs are 2 bedrooms,
loft, & media/gameroom room. It also had a 4 car garage, which
was a big plus for David. The yard was truly its own serene
backyard paradise with a multi-leveled deck and a lush park-like
backyard canopied by mature shade trees with another waterfall &
firepit. During an Open House, we had 20+ families come through one
Sunday. The response was phenomenal! Home received
multiple offers, and on Day 71 Wayne accepted an offer from David &
Lynn Pritchard, fellow residents of Jersey Village. The
Pritchards walked past the home one night after work, and just HAD
TO SEE the inside. From the moment they walked in the door,
they fell in love with the home. They weren't looking to
purchase another home - they had just recently remodeled their home
at 15602 Australia and added a pool. But this home was a
one-of-a-kind that just "drew them in." David & Lynn are
really enjoying their new home. Their home has people coming
in and out as David is very involved with the youth program at their
church. Of course, the Pritchard's daughters love the home
too. Sarah Beth is now a senior at Mississippi College who
will be graduating in December and will be pursuing her Masters
degree in January. Becca is attending Blinn College as a
sophomore and comes home often. Congratulations to David &
Lynn on their new home! Best wishes to Wayne Coleman - may you
enjoy many fantastic sunsets on the beach! Cheers!
Yvonne
Deffenbaugh & Todd Bishop
6315 Greenvale, Cutten Green
Yvonne is one of the most bubbly & optimistic people
I've ever met. After 3 years of leasing a home in Spring,
Yvonne & Todd were ready to purchase a home of their own. They
needed a home that was large enough for the two of them, plus 2
grown children, and it if all goes well perhaps another baby some
day. They also needed access to Beltway 8 for everyone to get
to school and work. We found a fabulous home for this
fantastic, fun-loving family. It was a 2 story home with a
formal living & dining, den with fireplace, beautiful kitchen with
high ceiling, downstairs master suite, and 3 full bedrooms up.
The home was nestled beneath shade trees, and the garage had already
been converted into a 2nd living area that Todd planned to use for
his personal "man cave" complete with big screen TV & stereo.
Yvonne said that this was the first room completed in the house and
where everyone goes to "hang out." As of recently, Yvonne's
son Jace just graduated from the National Guard Cadet Academy on
June 27, 2009. He earned his GED and his high school diploma
through this program. Yvonne's daughter, Angel is still
pursuing her neonatal pediatric degree at Lone Star College in
Tomball. Congratulations to Yvonne & Todd on this new chapter
in your lives! I hope you enjoy your home for years and years
to come! Best wishes to all of you!
2008
Clint
Mote
9826 Haverdown, Steeplechase
When Clint stepped into the
home at 9826 Haverdown, he knew it was the one for him. It was
the perfect home for he and his two children, and even had a
swimming pool. The house is ideal for his growing "soon-to-be"
teenagers - two bedrooms with a shared bath in between and their own
gameroom up, while Dad has his master bedroom down. It's also
only minutes away from the children's mother, grandparents, and
their church. The kids even have friends who live two doors down.
What a truly fortunate find! Now, Clint and the kids are busy
unpacking boxes and settling into their new home. The kids are
anxiously awaiting summer when the weather is warm enough to tryout
their new pool. This is home is going to be only the start of
a wonderful new beginning. Cheers to a SPECTACULAR 2009, Mote
family! Wishing all of you the very best!
Ryan
& Maggie Pepper
16615 McCormick, Wheatbridge Estates
When Ryan & Maggie found out they were expecting Baby
#2, the Peppers decided that they needed a home with a yard for
their 1.5 year old son and baby-to-be. We sold their townhome
in Memorial Club Townhomes (and closed in 5 days), and found a LARGE
home in Copperfield's Wheatbridge Estates that was perfect for this
growing family that met all of their needs. It was newer
construction and had all of the bedrooms upstairs so that they could
be close to their "little ones", had the utility room up, 2 separate
living areas, 2 separate dining areas, and so much more. It
also had great, friendly neighbors who readily welcomed the Peppers
to the neighborhood. Now, Ryan & Maggie are just waiting for
Baby #2s arrival. It sounds like the Peppers are off to a good
start in 2009. I imagine it will be a year of wonderful &
exciting changes for all!
Roger
Montes & Veronica Ruiz
14939 Lindenbrook, Copperbrook
Roger & Veronica purchased
their first home together in Copperbrook. The first time we
saw this home, Veronica fell in love with it. It took us an
additional 2 months before it became available again for them to
purchase. The moment it became available, neither Roger nor
Veronica hesitated. This was the home for them!!! It had wood
floors on first floor, granite counter tops in the kitchen, the
master down, and a LARGE cul-de-sac lot. Although this was
their "dream home," it was also a short-sale that needed work and
required never-ending patience from Roger & Veronica.
But in the end their patience persevered. They now have their
dream home, and have been steadily working on it & remodeling it.
They are also fortunate to have great neighbors as well, ones who
have created a close-knit community in their cul-de-sac as they
gather regularly to have BBQs and social events. Everyone sits
out on their front porches in the evenings to socialize and watch
the kids play in the street. This is going to be a GREAT home
for Roger & Veronica. Congratulations!
Clayton
& Lynn Wise
19607 Chestnut Brook Ct, Creek Bend (Katy)
Clayton & Lynn relocated from
Nashville, TN and found the perfect home in the Katy area - close to
Lynn's new job with Katy ISD. They had narrowed their search
down to 3 homes, and then, after careful evaluation, selected the
home at 19607 Chestnut Brook. It was truly the IDEAL home for
these newlyweds. It had a large kitchen (since Lynn LOVES
to cook), spacious living room, and wood floors throughout much of
the home. This couple loves to entertain with dinner parties,
etc...so they were looking for a home with space to entertain.
This one had it! During the homebuying process, Clayton & Lynn
were "giddy" about selecting paint colors, new furniture, etc... to
put into their first home together. One of their first
projects was painting their new home and making it completely their
own. It was easy to see how excited they were about this new
chapter in their lives. Congratulations on your new home,
Clayton & Lynn. Wishing you the very best for years & years to
come!
Benedetto
& Jill L’Abbate
15814 Tahoe Dr., Jersey
Village
Chris and Carol Conner have sold their home in
Jersey Village. The home had been remodeled several years
ago. An entire master wing had been added. The home had some
lovely qualities and amenities that I feel any family would
appreciate. Benedetto and Jill L’Abbate will be moving
into the home soon. They love the big open spaces and yard
for their three children. They are looking forward to
getting to the Village. Their children will be searching
for new friends. The Connors are excited about what life
holds for them. Now, that they are empty nesters most of
the time.
Charles
& Pamela Stephens
14707 Tilley St., Jamestown
Colony
Charles had resided in Jersey Village with his
family while he was in school. As soon as he and Pam
married, they were ready to find a home of their own.
Within a month of the wedding, graduating from a Law Enforcement
School, accepting a position with the HISD system, Charles and
Pam had their home and they were moving in. What a whirlwind
experience! They found a beautiful home, just perfect for
a young couple. The minute they walked in, they knew this
home was perfect for them. Here’s wishing Charles & Pam
many years of happiness and bliss.
Wanda
Snell
13523 Piney Oaks, Oak Cliff
Place
Wanda and her family had resided in the
Huntsville area for a long time. She and her family
decided it was time to move to Houston. Everyone needed to
be closer to their employment. Wanda found the perfect
home. It has all the items and amenities that were on her
wish list. The best part of her new home is that she has a
beautiful kitchen to bake those cookies for those grandchildren.
She and entire family love the convenience of Houston.
Hal
& Bridgette Howell
16205 Singapore, Jersey
Village
Time passes so fast! About nine years ago, I
assisted Carlos and Laudys Pereira with their move into this
home. At that time, only Carlos could speak any English.
They had just arrived from Venezuela Nine years later, Carlos
is NOT the only one in the family speaking English. All
the family are happy to be here. America is blessed to
have such fine people as the Pereira family. Carlos is an
Advisor in the US Sales Group of Reed Hucalog. They sold their
home to the Howell family. Hal and Bridgett had been
searching for a home in Jersey Village for a long time.
They wanted their daughter, Haley to be closer to Jersey Village
High School. Bridgett’s profession is Faux painting. Hal
and Bridgett have spent a couple of months updating and painting
their new home. Bridgett’s kitchen must be fantastic!
Hal is with Flexpipe Systems.
Doris
Bringolf
9659 W. Withers Way Circle, Steeplechase
Doris is returning to Houston from living in Arlington for the last
decade. She came to Houston to search for a home after
receiving an offer for her home. With the assistance of her
daughter, Donna Wilson, we had just the "perfect" home waiting for
her approval. She loved the home the first minute she walked in. She
is so very happy to be back. Now, she not only has a daughter and
her husband, Donna and Roy Wilson and two grandsons to enjoy, but
three beautiful great-granddaughters. Who would not return to be
near great grandchildren?
Theresa
Schweiss
15709 Seattle, Jersey
Village
Paul and Nell had decided to downsize. They were ready to sell the
home that they had put all of their hard work and love into for the
many years they had resided in it. Nell and Paul had updated their
home in the last few years. They placed it on the market. Within 48
hours, an offer came in that the Protas accepted. The new owner is
Dr.Theresa Schweiss. She is the mother of three children. They
will love their location, being near the schools, parks and pool.
Dr. Shweiss is the new Director of the S.P.C.A. We welcome her and
her family.
Paul
& Nell Protas
#48 Parkway Place, The Park at Jersey Village
The Protas family moved into their home at 15709
Seattle 35 years ago. They were a young married couple looking for
the perfect home and community for their family. They found it. They
have loved the Village and are happy that their daughter, Amy grew
up in this loving community. Paul is a pharmacist and has worked
most of his entire career at pharmacies on Jones Road. Nell worked
in the City Hall of Jersey Village for many, many years. The worst
part of their move was they were leaving friends who have owned
their homes as long or longer than the Protas family. Retirement is
near and they would like to start another chapter in their life.
Now, the time came that they wanted to downsize, but certainly did
not want to leave their community. They chose to the purchase the
home of Phyllis Winston in The Park. This home had only been on the
market a few days. Phyllis had a lovely patio home which she really
loved. She enjoyed working with her plants in her large patio area.
She really missed being near her grandchildren. She had decided that
she would like to move closer to the children, so she moved to
Tomball. We will really miss you!
Joe
Huang
15406 Congo Lane, Jersey Village
Joe had been searching for the perfect home in Jersey
Village for a long time. He had been residing with his family in
Jersey Village. Joe is a pharmacist in one of the hospitals. He is
looking forward to working on his home and purchasing all the items
that you need to buy for your first home. Joe loves the location.
This is great location for those people who like to go to the track
and jog and walk.
Ty
Ngov
5511 Danebridge,
Deerfield Village
Zach and Kelli Linde loved their home and location of
the home that Judy sold to them two and one-half years ago. They
loved Houston. The family and their three children loved the city,
museums, zoo, people and weather in Houston. Zach is in Sales with
Carrier Air Conditioning and was transferred to Dallas with Carrier,
thus Kelli and the kids followed. We know that they will be happy in
their new home and pool is Dallas. Another young family, the Ty Ngov
family purchased the Linde home. They fell in love with the floor
plan, pool, and walking paths to the elementary school that the
Deerfield subdivision has for their school age children. We know
that they will be happy in their new home and pool in Dallas.
Frank
& Pat Russell
12800 Briar Forest #94,
Stonehenge
Frank & Pat Russell are retired and grew tired of
climbing stairs in their two-story townhome in Memorial Village.
Due to health reasons, they needed a single story home but wanted to
stay in the Memorial area to be close to their hospital and doctors.
As we were looking, they fell in love with the patio home community
at 12800 Briar Forest. We looked at several patio homes, but
they settled on a For Sale By Owner being sold by Ron Boyd.
The home was perfect for them! It was the ideal floorplan with
2 bedrooms and a study, a formal dining area and one living area.
It also had the perfect size yard for Mack to run & play and a
covered patio for Frank to enjoy the outdoors. Frank & Pat are
presently installing wood floors before they move in, and are busy
packing and getting ready to move. Frank & Pat are an
extraordinary couple who are looking forward to getting settled in
and meeting their new neighbors. Cheers to your new home!
Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

3006 Red Stag Pass, Sienna
Plantation
Ryan didn't initially know where he wanted to live,
but the moment we drove into Sienna Plantation he knew there was no
place else he would rather be. He fell in love with the
neighborhood from the start - the beautiful homes, winding streets,
the mature shade trees, the children playing & riding their
bikes,...it was all picturesque. Picture-perfect! We
were fortunate to find just the right home - 3 bedrooms + a study,
with ceramic tile virtually throughout - and at the end of a
cul-de-sac street. Great neighbors in a great neighborhood!
Now Ryan, a physical therapist, just has to catch the Fort Bend
Tollway into work, a direct shot into the Galleria / Meyerland area.
Welcome to your new home, Ryan. May you fill it with beautiful
memories for many years to come.
Peter
Jessup & Paula Sartin
16026 Capri Lane, Jersey
Village
Upon the suggestion of very dear friends, Peter
and Paula decided to look for homes in Jersey Village. They
fell in love with the small town atmosphere. Gary is from
England and has been coming to Houston for years. He feels
very comfortable with the setting. Paula has lived in Houston
for years, but is really pleased with the home that they have
chosen. They are really busy with some renovations and
settling into their home. They are really anxious to meet
their neighbors. Many of the neighbors on their street may
be original owners. Everyone loves their cul-de-sac
street.
Blake
& Andrea Biernacki
16911
Scenic Lakes Way, Copperfield
Blake & Andrea are newlyweds
of 2 years who purchased their first home in Copperfield. They
absolutely love their new home and the neighborhood! It is the
perfect home with ample room for starting a family (when they're
ready). It is just down the street from the neighborhood park
and swimming pool, and only minutes away from Blake's parents (in
Copperfield as well). The Biernackis continue to receive good
news - Blake is starting a new career with Mustang Engineering.
He will now be working even closer to home. Cheers to all of
the "good happenings" in Blake & Andrea's lives! May your good
fortune continue for years to come.
Betty
Whitehead
22507 Vista
Valley, Creekstone (Katy)
Betty is an extraordinary
woman and an "in-demand" great-grandmother. Even after 2 knee
surgeries in the same year, nothing could slow Betty down. She
continued to care for her great-grandchildren, keep an immaculate
house, sewed, painted, crafted, etc.... The woman is always on
"the go." She spent such little time at her home in Katy, that
she decided to sell and move in with her daughter, Linda Copley. Of
course, all of her children and grand-daughter have asked Betty to
move in - she is one dynamic lady. She and her little
dog, Bandit, have finally got settled into their Pecan Grove home,
and are as active as ever. I think Betty plans to take up
line-dancing if she can fit it into her schedule.
Congratulations on this next chapter in your life! You are an
inspiration - living life each moment at a time.
Antonette
Danna
7902 Yellow
Pine, Woodland Oaks
Antonette was a long-time
homeowner in Woodland Oaks, who sold her home to a delightful woman,
and purchased a new Lennar home in Fairfield. Antonette's new
home is perfect for her and her girls! Wooden floors, separate
shower & tub, granite countertops in the kitchen, and all of the
latest appliances and upgrades Lennar has to offer (Pex water
system, double paned windows, sprinkler system, etc...).
The home is simply beautiful - a beautiful home for an exquisitely
beautiful lady. As things should happen, good fortune has
continued in Antonette's life. She is now the proud owner of
her own beauty shop - Antonette's - in her mother's assisted living
facility. All of the pieces of her life are coming together.
Indeed, life is sweet! Congratulations, Antonette.
Diane
Marlowe
1938
Westcrest, Ridgecrest
Diane was given the task of
selling her mother's home in Spring Branch. The home was built
in the 1950's and the baths had green 4" tiles along the floor &
walls, kitchen had the original wood cabinets, and the signature
pink stove. Diane and her sister Betty spent time cleaning out
the house, and getting it ready to sell (recent carpet, new vinyl,
and new paint throughout), but everything else was original.
Diane and I spent time previewing the other homes in the
neighborhood, so that we would price the home "right" - and indeed
our research paid off! Within the first 30 days, we receive
multiple offers for the home. What a spectacular surprise
(especially since the market has been soft) ! The home sold to
an investor as a cash sale - and it was just what Diane & Betty were
looking for. It was a smooth transaction and everyone was
extremely happy. Thank you, Diane & Betty, for being such a
pleasure to work with.
Carson
& Ashley Williams
13334 E.
Trail Hollow, Georgetown
Carson & Ashley are a
delightful young couple who were ready to purchase their first home
this year. They wanted to be closer to their jobs, and fell in
love with Georgetown in the Memorial area. They found a
beautiful large 3 bedroom townhome, with a formal living, dining,
and family room. The size was great for the two of them, and
their young son. After closing, Carson & Ashley immediately
began renovations and improvements to make their new house, their
"home." Now Carson & Ashley are only minutes from work (which
is great considering gas prices) and their son will be able to
attend the acclaimed Rummel Creek Elementary school. They love
being close to Town & Country and Memorial City Malls - love all of
the amenities (shopping, restaurants, & more)! May you love
your home for many years to come, Carson & Ashley. Wishing you
lots of happiness!
J.D.
Demore
15309
Kingfield, Langham Creek Colony
J.D. had renovated & updated his townhome in Langham
Creek Colony - it was gorgeous! Slate and wood floors
throughout, granite countertops in the kitchen, decorator colors
throughout, pedestal sinks in baths, etc... It was
extraordinary! J.D.'s desire was to move into mid-town or
downtown Houston - he loved the artistic, eclectic atmosphere of
being in the city. He wanted to be in the heart of everything
- the coffee shops, music, art, & more. J.D. sold his
home, netted what he wanted from the sale, and then found a unique,
open loft in the midst of everything. He absolutely loves
being downtown! Isn't it great when everything works out the
way it is supposed to be! Congratulation, J.D.! Hope
this is a magnificent new chapter in your life!
Claudia
Pena
15304
Falmouth, Langham Creek Colony
After serving her country in Iraq, Claudia retired
from the military to begin a fresh start in Houston and be close to
her family. Initially we were looking at small homes, but then
found a great deal in Langham Creek Colony townhomes. We found
Claudia a foreclosure that was everything she had hoped for and so
much more. This townhome has ample room for Claudia (and room
to grow - over 2200sqft). She has started renovations,
replacing the flooring with wood floors, and has begun painting.
With great enthusiasm, she has also purchased her first pieces of
new furniture. Claudia (and her parents) are thoroughly
enjoying her new home. I am so happy for you, Claudia.
Welcome to this great new adventure in your life. May it be
all that you imaged it would be. Welcome home, Claudia.
Kenneth
& Carolyn Walker
8402 East Copper Lakes,
Copper Lakes
The Walkers are leaving their home in the city of
Port Arthur. Kenneth and Carolyn are very sad to be
leaving the only city that they have ever lived in. The
will miss dear family and friends there, but coming to Houston
means that they will be near four of their five children.
They are really excited that they will be able to attend the
grandchildren’s sport activities. We found a home
that is just right for them at this time of their lives.
They are about three blocks from their daughter and her family.
Now, they are closer to all the children including their son who
lives in San Antonio.
Andrea
Beazley Macejak
16325 Jersey Dr., Jersey
Village
Andrea and her five year old daughter, Anna are
very happy to be moving to the Village. Andrea grew up in
Jersey Village and has been yearning to return. The
perfect home came on the market. Andrea loved the
beautiful hardwood floors, the light and bright rooms throughout
the home. Most of all, Andrea is excited about having a
backyard for Anna and a garage for all the items that go in a
garage excluding the cars. The happy glowing grandparents
are Bill and Merrilee Beazley. They are excited to have
Andrea and Anna near. Congratulations, Grandparents!

Jonathan
& Holly Stephenson
16225 Congo Lane, Jersey
Village
Jonathan and Holly fell in love with this home.
They purchased the home from Patrick and Andrea Green.
They loved the swimming pool with the iron fence around it .....
a safety measure for children. The home met their needs
and the extra quarters was just perfect for them. They are
looking forward to making new friends in the neighborhood.
Darren
& Debbie Mazzu

areas. Debbie tells me that her favorite place is the backyard.
They are the proud parents of one son. Darren is in the
